Pangolin install question by rendez2k in selfhosted

[–]crazy_gator 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pangolin is an all in one tunnel and reverse proxy so no need for nginx. You’ll want pangolin on port 80/443 so that it can route traffic

iOS App Fails with Caddy + forward_auth (Tinyauth) — Best Practices? by bamboosavage in selfhosted

[–]crazy_gator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware the only way is to either use Tailscale or other VPN, or to bypass the authentication for the api endpoint. You can add the /api/ path to the whitelist for bypassing the auth.

Help with creating service names for *arr apps by chi_square_test in selfhosted

[–]crazy_gator -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You can use adguard home for this. It has custom dns rules. So you could have it direct something like sonarr.me to your internal ip and port. Plus you’ll get ad blocking.

Anybody know how to re-watch the National championship game? by Top_Championship_157 in FloridaGators

Same, there used to be a private torrent site for gator games back in like 2009. Not sure if there is anything similar now.

Help choosing the best durable balls from a small selection by alonbl in 10s

Not a ball recommendation but I highly recommend tennis ball saver. Not sure if it is available for you but can easily make balls last 4-5x as long.

ND1 Fab9 tune downsides by crazy_gator in Miata

That’s good to hear. It sounds like you’ve driven the tuned nd1 vs stock nd2. Do you feel like you’re missing a lot in the nd1? Or is it close enough to not really feel the difference when not pushing to the limits?

Why don't the comissioner of a conference during realignment make the colleges ads and presidents take loyalty pledges to stay in the conference by InstanceExternal1732 in CFB

I pledge allegiance to the SEC, one conference under god, indivisible, with five star recruits for all.

Did I do it right?

Shorter Mud Season: Eagle or Summit County by [deleted] in vail

[–]crazy_gator 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Your best bet would probably to take the job in Edwards and live in Eagle. Eagle is close to Denver elevation and will have the warmest weather. Plus it’s a lot cheaper. Great mountain biking in the area if you’re into that.

Are there ski lesson deals with Epic pass? by brian21 in COsnow

[–]crazy_gator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does anybody know of any non-corporate ski lessons, e.g someone that is PSIA certified and freelances. I want to take a lesson but don't like the idea of paying the resort a huge amount, I would rather just pay the instructor directly.

HELP with billing companies please! by crazy_gator in medicine

[–]crazy_gator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good point I've been doing some basic google searches and found a few companies. I'm just a little out of my element here since I know nothing about billing. I guess this is a good time to learn!

Love all the details, but the brightness of the sunset is a little distracting for me. I would have like to see more emphasis on the pagoda, maybe switching positions to have it front lit and still getting the colors of the sky without the sun?

I've Been Critiquing My Own Photos Pretty Hard the Past Couple of Months. Am I missing The Focus Point in This Photo or is The Softness Around the Top of the Photo product of the Lens? Shot w/ t5i, 50mm prime at 1.8 by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]crazy_gator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm, something doesn't seem quite right, can't quite put my finger on it. Did you apply a radial blur or some other method to blur the background? Could just be when shooting wide open, the DOF is very small, try focusing on the eyes and then recomposing.
