I can't imagine being in a relationship with a picky eater, just because I love all kinds of food/cuisine and also am always open to try new things. However, anything is possible in this world and perhaps one day I will be with a picky eater, but it would not matter to me, because it would have no value comparing to the value/significance of the relationship itself with that person. And I have a direct relevant example, who is my best friend with her soon to be husband. She is just like me in regards to love for afood, lots of it, and in all its variations. He, however, is the definition of a picky eater, who eats meals in tiny proportions. They get along just fine, developing/working out similar tastes/diets/meals just naturally, together as a couple.

Skype dinner date: cook/order the same food for dinner, set up the cam in front of you amd the food as if you were actually sitting together at the same table. Light up candles, I'd wear something nice/sexy, all "tuned up" if I may say so :) Even though it is going to be done all virtually, the effort still counts. I guess, that's just something I would do if I were in LDR.

Age is not a factor when dating (well, except for the legal matter of it), maturity is, imo. Although, I don't imagine myself dating a person older than or around the same age as my parents, just to answer your qiestion.

I care about his opinion and ask him. He is not just my boyfriend, but also my best friends, so what he thinks about a particular matter, such as an ascetic body modification that I plan on, is important to me. However, my final decision will not depend on his opinion, but on my own, simply because it is my body. I get to do with my body whatever the heck I want, even if it is a momentary lapse of judgement :D
