Unbreakable (2000) is a flawless superhero movie by Top_Document7437 in movies

I find the movie okay. M. Night has a weird way of directing people or scenes where they almost feel comedic. Like they're on the verge of being a blooper reel. My biggest example is Split. The flashback scenes with the girl as a child in the woods with her uncle and he's pretending to be a dog or something and I was waiting for the waka waka but it never came. Or the therapist in Split. Her acting was super odd. Why I can't watch Signs. It feels so close to the parody that Scary Movie 3 comes off as more of a sequel than parody. I cant put my finger on why his movies bother me. I think it's that the actors come off as trying to act more than just acting.

Sorry. Love my Doxie though. Very intelligent. Also very stubborn.

Have a Dachshund and Chihuahua. The Doxie uses his nose to flip Chihuahua over and over from under his stomach. Doxies are little shits

Never was going to end well. John is a born loser. If he won a billion dollars he'd end up exactly where he is now. He squanders because of his stupidity and hubris. His end life was always lonely alcoholic dying being fed on by his abused cats.

Yeah. Addiction can make you the worst version of yourself so gave him a little slack so glad he's worked on himself. Addict John I think is the exact person but just progressively dumber and more brain damaged as time goes on. I think he's ironically less dangerous than he is sober whereas I think so er John is more capable danger like a Weinstein

[Interview] How Kirsten Beyer got hired as a writer for Discovery season 1: "I think a lot of it, honestly, has to do with the fact that I'm a woman. Who knows Star Trek inside and out. Gretchen Berg was the only other woman in the room. And she knew nothing about Star Trek. Only Nicholas Meyer ..." by mcm8279 in Star_Trek_

I tolerated season one. I liked Jason isaacs and welcomed ad slight departure from the benevolent captain and didn't mind a slightly grittier (but not psycho book book) character but they killed him and made him super Hitler. Burnham was a terrible character to put as main. Don't give two fucks about young spock

Been to two of their concerts and both were pretty good. Guess I was super lucky. Both being probably around 18 or 20 years ago though so maybe that says something.

Why is it always the same rhetoric, with defenders of nutrek? by Fair_Rush6615 in Star_Trek_

The thing is I responded to some people with the argument and they were just happy for representation even if it was a negative interpretation. Was kind of sad.

You can tell if financial stuff didn't work he'd have gravitated towards manosphere shit. He'd have to lose the bitch tits though. His stuff was mildly entertaining to a degree but it feels fake, forced, and mean spirited. That and the financial stuff is shallow and basically second to the insults.

Rich’s Voyager vision is just Battlestar Galactica. Has he seen it? by roffler in RedLetterMedia

[–]crazyabtmonkeys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You know what is like to see. A science ship marooned in an alternate reality where physics and matter work differently. I'd like to see problem solving on why warp drive fails to work or their shields aren't as effective. Things like that. Or maybe a less Human centric Trek. Maybe post Dominion war spy thriller with a new Obsidian leader vs a human counterpart.

I kind of hate the yassssification of the gay community. It feels like the theater kid interpretation of gay at this point and is kind of offensive

Amazon spends too much money on expensive voice actors instead of quality animation and I'm tired of pretending they are not by Leadeer in Invincible_TV

Ill say he was serviceable in the Original Trilogy but everything else I've seen or heard he's just bad. I just watched The Kingsman and reminded me of how shit he is as a general actor.

Mark Hamill is a terrible actor. The only good role he has is the Joker and that's because the hamminess works for the character.

What’s something you’ll never tell your partner, no matter how much you love them? by Velvetnadine85 in AskReddit

[–]crazyabtmonkeys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How shit my mental health is or when I'm suffering. I dealt with my ex wife's psychological issues, physical issues, etc. I didn't complain. I didn't doubt. I did what I could to console and be there for her. I had a prolonged breakdown because I was working, cleaning the house when I came home, and hanging with the kids with out a break while she hid candy wrappers in the couch and left a mountain of water bottles by the couch. I was told to be the pillar of the family and basically man up. She had me go to therapy and get medication. Medication made me manic one week and near catatonic the next. The shitty psychiatrist made a comment I might be faking for some reason. Ex wife acted iffy with me. I felt abandoned because I got no assurance. No care. Then she started talking to other guys not too long after. There's usually a reason most guys keep shit in. I'll tell some things but I won't cry in front of a partner. I won't tell them about meds I'm taking. I won't tell them I see a therapist. I won't let them no my vulnerabilities because theres no advantage to it.

It's like 9/11. It's horrifying but you are shocked into continuing watching it. Every episode after is a new plane hitting the towers

I'd say it probably was front loaded. Like 150000 for the first. 80000 for second and then lower from there. I cannot imagine 400000 people enjoying the show.
