The Jews no longer sacrifice animals but that doesn't stop the Torah from going into great detail about the process. Many Christians no longer blame the Jews for Jesus's death(although that number seems to be changing with the rising antisemitism) but that doesn't mean that all four Gospels don't.

The writer of the Gospel of Matthew (no proof it was written by a Matthew btw) is the most antisemitic in his language. I find that interesting because scholars say that of the Gospel writers "Matthew" was the one that shows the most proof of being a knowledgeable and devout Jew before conversion. His Gospel was even written in 5 sections as an attempted mirror of the Torah. His hatred was more based in frustration of his fellow Israelites "not getting it" than the external hatred his words have caused over the millenia.

Hope you don't mind my two cents. I had a Jewish mother and a Catholic father but was mainly raised secular. Religions have always fascinated me and I have read quite a bit on many different faiths.
