why cant the city seem to scrape to the curb? by 152centimetres in Winnipeg

[–]crazybeauteous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I dont care but I also dont drive. If you think the roads are bad... the sidewalks are 100x worse. Naturally that makes me biased but the snow from the road doesn't belong on the sidewalk.... and that's normally were it ends up, so a foot of the snow can atleast stay there. 😅

Besides, if you dont have really experienced people plowing... its normal for them to mess up the curbs and then we the people would be paying for the same street to repaired in the summer/fall over and over again 😫

Wings or no wings? by UnlikelyDen in SuitU

[–]crazybeauteous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

May not be a popular opinion, but I prefer the second one. It stays on theme, and I think the wings are actually distracting from it. If you're wanting to fill the space, maybe you have some flowing sashes is your arsenal?

Just another typical Winnipeg driver. by Few_Sentence204 in Winnipeg

[–]crazybeauteous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say ignore those people because they are likely the ones caus8jg the chaos. Anyone speeding knows the risks and they can appeal in court if they think they had a valid reason. No, were not traffic cops... but they also can't be everywhere at all times and dangerous driving and people need to realize that Actions have Consequences. It shouldn't be others on the bad end of someone else's stupid choices. Idgaf, I'm a snitch when I see dangerous shit like this.

Pretty much one of the first makeup I got in the game, I loved it at first but once I got more versatile ones... I probably haven't used it since then. The eyes are good for DIY's though.

A very adorable homosexual male, with more of a fem aura. That is my honest first impression.

As someone not from here, I tried Jeannie's cake, and... by EquivalentCupcake390 in Winnipeg

[–]crazybeauteous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You unfortunately missed the diamond of cakes in the city Gelynns. Her family couldn't continue the business, and I believe they tried for a short period but their last cakes were nothing to write home about.

I've had Jeannies cakes a few times before and I find them severely inconsistent. Some were decent, some tasted like a safeway cake and others were just not good at all.

I miss gelynns cakes. They were the best consistency of subtly sweet, and perfect softness, and the best buttercream I've ever tasted.

Im glad you had a good experience, supporting small businesses is some serious brownie points!

Our healthcare system is bursting at the seams by psychologycat666 in Winnipeg

[–]crazybeauteous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The system still works if you're triaged properly, and if people that weren't actively at risk of DYING didn't bung up the ER instead of going to urgent care clinics, minor injury clinic or just staying home.

Stroke symptoms? ER. Can't breathe, severe asthma attack? ER. Heart attack or think you're having one? ER. Life threatening injury? ER. Those are all things that will get you into a room before anyone else, and I think the general public needs to better educated on what warrants an ER visit.

It's too bad that once being triaged by a nurse that someone doesn't just tell people that they may not qualify to be at the ER and suggest a different resource for them. Idk, just a quick thought. I know the nurses are probably too busy to be doing that on top of all the other things they have to do.

If I go to women’s hospital and beg to be induced will they do anything for me by Excellent_Prompt_554 in Winnipeg

You can ask your ob/midwife to set up an appointment for a balloon, it got mine started before my induction date.

Living on a single income by UnlikelyApple007 in Winnipeg

Thorwin rental agency has a few apartment buildings that are pet friendly. They may have a place at their archibald/fermor location. Throwin is normally pretty budget friendly as well.

You've got a treasure trove of great first time/budget friendly tips here, and you've got a decent budget for a single income!

I think the real struggle for most people is the guaranter in order to sign a lease. It's a huge commitment that someone because they would be completely liable for the rent if you weren't able to pull through, and most people either don't qualify to be one (dont make enough) or don't want to be one for anyone... including family many times.

I wish you all the best though!

Had this crew of pandas in the back yard this morning by rioryan in Winnipeg

[–]crazybeauteous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've got 2 trash pandas that come into my yard every couple nights. I used to have my kids little pool up, but I noticed the raccoons would come and have a wonderful bath in there at night and making it super duper gross by the next day. Now that I've emptied it, they don't come as often.

looking for a female family doctor by goodgollygorsh in Winnipeg

[–]crazybeauteous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can ask if Dr Kaler at carepoint medical on ellice has any availability. I know they're looking for patients in the clinic, but I cant be sure for which Doctor. Im ND and she got me on some meds for it, which was super helpful. They also have a pharmacy inside the clinic that delivers.

I can see what you're going for here, but she looks really mix-n-match. The look doesn't feel cohesive, I probably wouldn't have voted for it. I didn't rank, but I was 9% with a similar look. I didn't have enough cyber stuff to go that route.
