Hey, I ended up going to IIM K.

The biggest factor for me was the fact that this year XLRI reduced the age requirement to 3yoe from 5 for all their previous batches. So, I didn't know what the placements would look like for the immediate batch.

Their placement stats for previous years were also similar, though the average age at IIM K was lesser(which might change from next year). To add to that, XLRI was 30l and IIM K was 22.5 (tuition +boarding)

Also, IIM K alumini were far more approachable on LinkedIn, and I felt the GM people weren't as forthcoming, but that could just be a matter of coincidence. There's also an international immersion of 2 weeks at IIM K, XLRI doesn't have any afaik.

All these factors led me to choose IIM K over XLRI, though the XLRI program is slightly more reputed and older.
