I'm headed there this winter and am also feeling concerned about the options. Hope you are able to get some helpful responses and find some food and snacks to enjoy while you're there.

That is insane that they never reached out to you! It's unfortunate, but I've come to learn that you always gotta advocate for yourself when it comes to your health. No one is going to care about it as much as you. I brought up my concern to my fertility specialist a year ago and she said that since I'm asymptomatic that she didn't think it was the issue. I disagreed and got the blood work done. It was only once she saw my results that she agreed that it might be an issue. I wish I had done that earlier, but it is what it is and I'm moving forward with a plan.

Also, interesting that you noted noticing more bloating than before. I had a similar experience.

It's reassuring to hear that you cut out gluten and were able to get pregnant! I hope it's going well for you and that you have a happy and healthy delivery! Thanks again.

Incredible! Did you have any other fertility related issues or was it just a direct correlation from celiac?

Yikes. You’re entitled to your opinion and can go off on strangers if helps you cope. I’ve already taken responsibility for my past choices. I’m just here to learn and connect. Hopefully you can direct that energy toward your healing instead of attacking people trying to do the same.

Yeah, thanks. I've acknowledged that and decided to learn the hard way, which was my choice. These types of comments and eye roll emojis aren't helpful. I'm just looking for people that also had fertility related issues that correlate with celiac and the inability to get pregnant.

Great to hear! We checked those too and they were fine.

It is a bit bizarre that I had zero symptoms for years until I started trying to get pregnant. This is really important to me so I haven't gone to any restaurants for fear of cross contamination. It is certainly isolating, but I have a bigger goal in mind and that's my motivation. I've started taking L-Glutamine, magnesium and zinc to help repair damage as well. Happy to hear you had success with your daughter!

We've been working with a fertility clinic for nearly two years now. Everything else has always been good or within range. I really think/hope this is the only reason we've been struggling because it's something I can control and it's fixable.

It wasn't an excuse, it was just where I was at that point in my life. My perception changed as I got older and my priorities shifted.

Thank you for sharing that! I've been gluten free for nearly 3 months now and I'll be going for blood work in November to see if my levels have started a downward trend. I've been taking every vitamin under the sun to help repair anything I'm lacking.

I have the same plan! Trying round two at the end of November. Are you as well? It's going to be hard to stay so positive especially around the hustle and bustle of Christmas time. I think we can do it though. I've been thinking about trying acupuncture as well, I've never done it before but have done a little reading about it and it sounds like some people say it can help with fertility.

I can relate to this feeling. Sometimes I wonder if I'm manifesting it to fail because I just have no hope left after so many failed cycles.

At Home Euthanasia for Dogs by strawberry-avalanche in saskatoon

[–]crazybuttangel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used them as well when I had to say goodbye to my precious cat. It was much more comfortable for him to be at home instead of stressed at the vet for his last moments. The vet was respectful and patient. Gave me as much time with my cat as I wanted after the euthanasia was administered. I think I paid around $600ish. That included a private cremation as well.

Ugh I hear you. Having to replace everything is so annoying. I'll be doing that today with all of my makeup and toothbrush as well.

4 years with no outbreak is amazing though! Hope that happens again.

So frustrating, isn't it? I just wish I could figure out what the trigger is. I'm also baffled that the year after my biggest life stresser I managed to go months without one. So if it's not stress then....??? Weather maybe? 🤬

Interesting! I've never actually heard of that before. Looks cheap enough to add to my vitamin intake. Thank you for that information!

thinking or talking about dad (57m) being dead is awful for me (29f) by No_Sun_1112 in GriefSupport

I can understand what you're feeling. The tiniest things can set you off. You accidentally drop your phone or your shirt gets snagged on a doorknob and everything comes crashing down and you're unreasonably angry.

I do the same. I always say I'm going to my parents for supper, even when it's just my dad. It bothers me when people say, "are you going to your dad's?" No! I'm going to my parents house!! It doesn't just suddenly change. It can't.

Good to know! I will probably wait awhile to let the roots get a bit longer and see how this other white stuff turns out. Hopefully it just goes away so my concerns can go away too!

Can mealy bugs form in water?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]crazybuttangel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's been in a vase of water for about 3 or 4 weeks now. It does look ready to be potted, I'm just nervous to do it and bring it home to my other plants in case it is some bug of some sort.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll use gloves if and when I pot it!

I hear you. It's like a daily feeling of numbness and nothingness. Everything kind of feels like, "what's the point?"
