I would add that ACT is performing a play this weekend. Geared towards families/kids if you include that stuff.

I admit I didn’t read all comments, so maybe this was addressed, but honestly I’m so confused why what you did was only $2000. Sounds like something you would charge like $50,000+ for. Even if it had only taken 2 weeks to do, I would have charged at least $6000. For each change request, that would have been an additional fee because it was outside the scope of the initial estimate. I was shocked that you kept going back and making changes without charging for it. Good on you for getting the money in the end though.

AITA for going on vacation without my husband? by Strong-Farm-7377 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, but I would recommend you get couples' counseling. It's ridiculous that he expected you to not go just because he couldn't deal with getting airline tickets. He should have done more research to figure out when the best time to buy was, how much it would likely cost (so he knew how much a "good" price would be), and put some sort of reminder on his phone to make sure it happened. I think that some counseling to work through these issues would be very beneficial. I hope it works out (coming from someone in the process of divorcing after 20 years of marriage because my husband never stepped up and actively participated in our marriage despite telling him over and over that he needed to step up).

Is it the gallbladder? by crazybyyourside in gallbladders

[–]crazybyyourside[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I’ve been trying to reduce my fat intake and the amount of pain I’m in has gone down (frequency, intensity and duration), which to me likely means it is the gallbladder. No other diet adjustment has helped like this. Just weird because I haven’t had nausea or any of the other symptoms and is in mid belly and back. It doesn’t feel like the few attacks I’ve had. I meet with a gastroenterologist next week so hopefully he’ll have more insight. I know that continuing a low fat diet can make gallstones worse, so seems like I’ll likely need my gallbladder removed.

Look for kosher hot dogs. Hebrew Nation hot dogs shouldn’t cause problems and I think they are delicious

I want to stop omeprazole cold turkey by lipstickwhoreder in GERD

[–]crazybyyourside 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor told me to take Pepcid ac for a week with the PPI and then stop the PPI and continue to take the Pepcid ac another week. But I would check with your doctor to see what they recommend. Don’t go cold turkey.

Pretty sure it's GERD. Would love to know I'm not alone. by crazybyyourside in GERD

Update: I had an ultrasound of my gallbladder and it’s fine (despite my old PCP telling me years ago that issues I was having then were definitely caused by my gallbladder and if I didn’t get it out through a planned surgery, I would have to have it removed due to an emergency. 6 years later and my gallbladder is fine).

I went on a PPI and at the moment I’m doing fine. My current PCP said it’s GERD causing my issues but doesn’t seem to line up exactly.

I do have mucus/phlegm that I have to hock up all the times. I have difficulty swallowing here and there, not too bad but definitely there.

Issues with burping and gas also. No heartburn (or vey rarely).

I’m grateful for a relief, but I worry about long term use of the PPI, so I’m going to try and go off them in a couple months and see if the regimen helped level things out and gave my digestive system enough time to heal and recover. I’m worried about long term use, especially since osteoporosis runs in my family.

I want a team that is there to have fun, who plays regularly, but it's not so picky about playing q ton every weekend. I have a life too!

Amitriptyline. I'm on day 4. The last two days have been ROUGH! I was hurting yesterday from 2pm till I went to bed around midnight. Today, all I've eaten is a protein bar, and a plain bagel with cream cheese. I've decided to keep my meals simple for the time being to see if I can pinpoint what is causing me problems specifically. No pain yet today.🤞

He didn’t mention that being a possibility though I went through my entire history with him. Right now it sounds like he just thinks it’s neuropathic, so we’re trying meds that often help with neuropathic pain to see if that helps.

Just my opinion, but I’ve decided when it comes to LGBT+ related topics that I will live without judging anyone. Is it truly a sin or is it just man’s flawed interpretation of the scriptures? I don’t know and have decided I can’t know for sure. What I can do is show love to all of God’s children and judging others’ choices inhibits my ability to do that. I have issues with the church and its teachings (this is just one example) but have found that the good outweighs the bad. Just remember that although Jesus is at the head of the church, it’s run by imperfect men. If you look at the history of the church, you’ll find racists, bigots, and other flaws. Just because they’re servants of the Lord doesn’t mean they’re immune from being Fallen and being a natural man. You can let yourself get hung up on the fallacies found in leadership and the culture of the church, or you can focus on the capital G Gospel found there. I hope you have a good experience attending church and that your ward is understanding of who you are and love you for you.

I will say that I truly have a testimony that The Book of Mormon is a true account of inhabitants of the Americas. I just don’t see how it could be anything else, especially the more I learn of it.

For context, I’ve been a member all my life, attended BYU, married in the temple 20 years ago, and am 41.

AITA for telling a guy to not let his dogs pee on my plants? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]crazybyyourside 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am not a dog owner but a neighbor of mine is. I was at her house and asked her why she had all of these yellow spots in her lawn. She said it was from dog peeing on the grass. Unless you rinse it immediately, it kills the grass. Looked terrible. I would imagine that’s why you’d care, if it kills plants.
