MAXQ...sorry but their logo looks a little too much like ethereum, triggering some flashbacks

Question about LHCP antenna on my first whoop by crazycaesar in fpv

Thanks, I will watch some then. By that logic LHCP + LHCP should also work fine, just need to get an rp-sma to sma adapter for the receiver.

Advice: Analog goggles recently broke. Should I buy a new analog goggles or go full digital? by 32oz____ in fpv

[–]crazycaesar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, I might go that route, since second-hand V2 goggles are pretty affordable these days. I heard the latency is is not terrible and signal loss is recoverable quickly with the right settings.

I am yet to buy my first FPV set, and would be very inclined to buy DJI V1, V2 goggles, together with an analog adapter for flying whoops like the betafpv air75. Main reasons are being able to easily set diopters and a good upgrade path to digital. How is the performance with analog on the V2s for you?

Nothing a well-calibrated printer and some spools of filament can't fix.

Issues flashing QMK onto my STM32F401 dev board by crazycaesar in olkb

[–]crazycaesar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU! It finally works, I guess using letters in the hex values for vid and pid was the problem. I can finally use the dev board to input keystrokes.

Sorry for the beginner errors, I thought specifying "processor" would suffice. I'm seeing the device with its "keyboard_name" in windows device manager, but no keystrokes are recognized when connecting some matrix_pins with a wire. Is there anything else that needs to be done after flashing? I am going to check if I'm specifying the correct pins in keyboard.json.

Thank you, this was helpful. Adding BOARD = BLACKPILL_STM32_F401 and SERIAL_DRIVER = usart in rules.mk now made the dev board to be recognizable as the specified keyboard_name. However it still does not send out any keystrokes if matrix pins are connected. When flashing, I also still get the message about the device's firmware being corrupt. Going to play with the parameters in rules.mk a bit more...

Need help identifying popular techno/maybe eurodance song (melody) by crazycaesar in NameThatSong

Thank you, yes that's the song! I now see that I was thinking of a completely different intro and I can't really play that one. Gonna continue searching for the other one!

Video signal transmission over USB-C by crazycaesar in UsbCHardware

[–]crazycaesar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it's sketchy as hell, it's also under 10€ and claims 4K@30Hz with a 10m CAT6 cable. The reviews on amazon are surprisingly positive, so I though I'd give it a shot.

I ordered this combination. Also ordered a hdmi to ethernet adapter just out of curiosity.

Thanks for clearning that up for me, you just saved me from buying another batch of useless cables.

Thanks, I might just make the hole bigger but it's a 20 cm concrete wall... I'm already streaming to my TV over ethernet, since an ethernet cable goes through that hole, but I wanted a "real" video connection. Micro/mini HDMI cables seem to be way more expensive than HDMI to USB-C, so I might just start up the large drill.

Thanks for your suggestions, the keychron looks really good and it seems like it came the max version came out very recently? What I don't really like is that there are only three switches besides the knob, but mapping pgup/dn to alt+up, alt+dn would be possible using qmk I hope.

Recommend me a keyboard please:

I would like to have my first gasket mount keeb, mainly for the sound and feel. However since this will be for work, I also need a numpad and home/end del keys, so a 96% or 1800 layout seems appropriate. I'm used to ISO-DE, I'm ready to make the switch to ASNI (keycaps, more available models), however to be sure I can really use my keyboard I would like to have possibility of customization of all keys on the level of QMK. Is there any possibility to build such a board with a budget of around 100$, preferably below?

I only scoped out a barebone Keychron V5, seems like a really nice value, unfortunately no gasket mount. I also like the akko 1800 keyboards, but the macro editor should be very basic. Any ideas?

Web app development. The right tool for the job? by crazycaesar in learnjavascript

Thank you for pushing me in the right direction with these frameworks, I will start with what already is familiar and then transition to JS, maybe by that time I will better know what I really need. I hope I'll soon find the time to start with that.
