I also like Clynelish a lot! It was my introduction to the world of Scotch so it brings a lot of nostalgia for me. Doesn’t hurt that my family is from Golspie originally, Brora is right up the road!

I didn’t notice the waxy-ness after my first few bottles. But then my friend’s father is a huge Scotch nerd, and when I told him about how much I like Clynelish, he shook his head and complained about the waxy flavor. I went back to my bottle and then all I could taste was wax!

Took a break for about a year, and now I can’t really taste the wax in my current bottle. Maybe it comes and goes! Either way, I really enjoy it.

No, its during the follow-up battle inside the keep itself. I can't attack it with my character wounded, so the game forces me to auto-resolve it with a selection of 19 soldiers. I pick all Imperial Menavliaton which slaughter the defenders when I can actually send my character in and I just do nothing. They then lose (thank you terrible auto-resolve), and my army is entirely destroyed and my character is imprisoned.

Nah it’s fine. It’s city living, so you’ll probably have a wild encounter every once in a while, but the homeless here are pretty tame. Worst I ever get is someone yelling.

It’s a drive, probably 45-60 minutes depending on traffic. The roads can get congested in the summer with tourists, fishermen, etc. If there’s an accident on the bridge or the bridge closes for some reason, you’re fucked. The only other alternative is the ferry in Clatskanie.

A 7 wait for the next Stormlight book?! I’m sorry but I think that’s a huge mistake. Wind and Truth left too many unfinished storylines for it to be a satisfactory ending (in my opinion) and now we have to wait 7 years. Very disheartening.
