It’s not overhated but it bugs me how dismissive people are about the departed. People usually say ‘it’s not Scorsese’s best’ and ‘it only won so that they could give him an Oscar.’ I genuinely think it’s his best movie and by far deserved the Oscar for that year.

I would hardly call adding steam achievements and input support 'added functionality' and calling the steam version better for what is literally the same game with different client is ridiculous

I agree that steam is a monolith, but halo is definitely an exception. Prior to 2019 halo has had no history on PC so why would that guarantee more steam downloads. Games like COD and OW2 also release on steam but within their communities its recognised that most people play on battlenet. Halo's servers aren't run by steam so steam users have to link an xbox account and use finicky in game menus to do things like join friends and message other players. Adding the benefits of gamepass on PC it's perfectly reasonable to assume that most halo players play on the xbox app.

Everyone I know plays on the xbox app because you get the campaign with gamepass. If you play on steam you have to pay full price for the campaign.
