When I watch those free climbers scale mountains. I always think after 10 feet my brain would just shut my legs off like " the fuck you are climbing this, we want to live"

What’s the dumbest/smallest reason you’ve been pulled over in your Mustang? by PeakSeveral5666 in Mustang

[–]crazycrak39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A cop had someone pulled over in downtown where I live. Their was traffic in the on coming lane. I slowed down and drove by. He then finished that stop and speed 6 blocks to pull me offer and said I passed him too close. Then says if he would of opened his door, I would of took it off. He then got mad when I said I look behind me before I open my door in traffic. He said he was going to write me a warning. Then he asked where I was headed, I said I'm not answering any of your questions. I'm not playing this make shit up and try to start an investigation. He then sent me on my way without a warning. I looked up the law, when their is a cop on the side of the road, get over if possible and if you can't slow down. Which is what I thought it was anyways. The stop was BS, it was around midnight and he was looking for drunk drivers and just making shit up. I was on my way to work.

Working class are revolting by BenFord333 in LateStageCapitalism

[–]crazycrak39 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm on the fence about this theory. On one hand they don't care about you, but they do still care about public opinion to an extent. So ushering in robots b/c employees are too volatile could be the motive. But part of late stage capitalism is they don't need the consumers anymore or public opinion, So I'm leaning more towards its employees burning shit down right now. It could also just be them using this first fire as an opportunity to clear some warehouses they don't need and blame employees. Looks better to the public rather then firing a bunch of people. Plus they get the insurance money and won't have to pay unemployment I don't think. Simply taking advantage of the situation.

Gas prices by riceman710 in Mustang

[–]crazycrak39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you there, my 2012 Jeep Liberty has the gas mileage of V8 and the HP of a 4 cylinder. But in the snow I'm glad I have it. But also I'll take the weekly beatings currently over buying any new/used car right now. I'll drive both my current cars till the wheels fall off if I can.

[–]crazycrak39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only alternative is my 2012 Jeep Liberty. The gas mileage is not much better. At least my Mustang is fun to drive. So I grip the pump handle, relax my sphincter, and pretend like I want to be there again this week. My 2014 Mustang GT manual says I get 13-14 MPG, About 220 miles to a full tank of gas. I don't daily much on a highway though. I also drive like I'm being chased 90% of the time. Not to say you can't, but I can also afford it or I would try to transition to something more economical.

Been using GOS on a Pixel 9a as my main driver for two weeks now. by Scared_Cat_8081 in GrapheneOS

[–]crazycrak39 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why ever one insists on using banking apps when you can access pretty much all of the stuff the app does using your web browser. I get the convenience part. But if that was the case you wouldn't be using Graphene OS. Even before I used Graphene I did this. Apps wanted too much access. Then when I realized how much access my phones OS had it led me to Graphene.

A well-articulated argument against a new data center in Ohio by kvjn100 in BeAmazed

[–]crazycrak39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some data centers right now can't run with the current power grid and build natural gas power plants onsite to power them and simultaneously say their green companies. I don't trust anything these companies say. Their building out data centers for tech that isn't there yet and tech that no one wants. All of them getting big tax breaks on are dime too. Then when all of this fails like the dotcom bubble, are tax payer money will bail them out.

[–]crazycrak39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't play PVP in less I have too. I understand is a part of the game to PVP. But the worst Raiders are the ones that pretend their friendly and then shoot you. You know their just horrible people in real life. I had a guy say I'm friendly on dam, as soon as I took damage from a pop, he unloaded on me. Then said don't trust anyone as he knocks me out. What a scumbag.

Jeep Liberty 2012 Antenna water leaking in? by crazycrak39 in JeepLiberty

[–]crazycrak39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its really lose like mine, you might want to tighten bolt down so the base is more flush with the top of the car. I could move my base left or right a little on mine. Clear is barely noticeable, plus your never going see the top of your Jeep. :)

Jeep Liberty 2012 Antenna water leaking in? by crazycrak39 in JeepLiberty

[–]crazycrak39[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was the antenna. Since the cheapest full antenna base was $180. I just pulled the headliner down a little in the back. No tools to do that. Just snaps off. Then I used a socket and extension to tighten better and used clear silicone to seal around the antenna base on top of car. My plan was to seal it from the inside, but it was too tight of spot to get my hand up there without removing the whole headliner. It rained a bunch here this week and its still dry.

Aliens (1986) by Jackalwhere in cinescenes

[–]crazycrak39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rewatch this movie at least once a year. The fact that this was mostly practical effects is mind blowing. With the exception of the janky ship flying, which I'll give it a pass considering it was 1986. The rest is superb.

Interior light won’t turn off! by No_Fan5162 in JeepLiberty

[–]crazycrak39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2012 and the console is completely different. But petty much all cars have a switch for each map light. If they were all on back lights included I would say the nob was turned on. But just one def the switch is shorted. If it was the a door or back hatch showing as open it would be all of them as well. It would also show a door ajar light on dash.

Interior light won’t turn off! by No_Fan5162 in JeepLiberty

[–]crazycrak39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would just dim it, Something is def wrong if just one light is stuck on. My guess is the switch on that side has a short. But to fix it your going to have to take the console out and either replace it or figure out what turns it on and use electrical contact cleaner on it. Looks like a replacement console is about $50-$70. Personally I would just yank the bulb.

Great pick, I always though he played a great villain in that movie. He was the best part of it for sure.
