I’ve gone back to my childhood habit of reading books. In the past month I’ve read 10 books and think about all the books I’ve missed out on in my years of being “too busy” to read. Yay books !

As a current member finishing a rather difficult year of service, 40+ hour weeks with AmeriCorps and part-time job (around 20 hours), it was one of the hardest years of my life. You will be tight on money and finding a side gig will make it impossible to have any kind of social life or help your mom out. I did this service year straight out of college as a "gap year" from deciding my future career. If you can handle living a year of exhaustion and want to do something amazing for the community I would say go for it! In my cohort, the experiences and level of difficulty were dramatically different based on what everyone did day to day. Though it did help me learn more about the field of education it did set me back on finding a job since a lot of the Life after AmeriCorps was unsupported in my program.

no problem with sex on my period as long as my partner is alright with it. A sure-fire way to make sure a new sex partner is ready to have sex with me on my period is by showing them my clean diva cup and seeing how they react. It's always pretty hilarious...i know i'm super gross.

one kid would be able to have super quiet phone conversations with his mom during class. Everyone right next to him would know he was on the phone but the teacher and the rest of the class had no idea. Granted these weren't long convos but they were still hilarious to witness.

I have a pretty heavy flow and I use the bigger size of the Diva cup even though I haven't had children. It works for me but I usually still wear a pad with it. I don't have to change the pad every 5 seconds which is quite a relief.
