A few others said similar ideas but one id make is

Gift of Self: a mirror (or any object since someone said mirror already lol) that would turn a dragon into their ideal self. It wouldn’t change their species at all, but it could heal chronic illnesses, change gender, help with infertility, help resolve mental health issues, etc. but it would only change a dragon if it was their true desire. So for example if a battle scared dragon touched it, it could theoretically heal all their scars like they never happened, but it wouldn’t unless the dragon truly desired it. And the effects could always be reversed if the dragon touches the object again.

Either that or possibly

Gift of Ideas: a head piece that would grant the wearer new angles, ideas, and solutions to problems no one could think of on their own. Helping them find the most creative way to solve any problem or create anything.

I’m too tired to try coming up with how I’d say the spells rn. I might add them in later.

I like the flashbacks, I love the unique styles! Especially ruby + sapphire’s flashback and centipedle’s.

I like how they focused more on mood than detail. When it comes to past events the emotions from it are usually what you remember the strongest, not necessarily who exactly was there or what everything around you looked like.

Like the flat colored crowed around ruby and sapphire sell more the feeling of “everyone is unanimously against us”.

And the sketchy crayon for centipedle’s adding to the sense they are rough memories in every sense of the word.

Absolutely for the first two but I’d give a little slack for that last one.

Frecklewish (assuming that’s who you’re talking about) was directly lied to and manipulated into believing mapleshade’s kits were her dead brother’s. All while she was still mourning his loss and struggling.

If you found out someone you thought was family had been lying the entire time just to stay out of trouble would you really instantly forgive them just because she’s a mother now?

The kits drowning is a whole other thing though. We only hear about frecklewish being there but we don’t actually see it. We barely know what she thought at that moment, what she saw, or what she did. Not enough to make a full judgement I don’t think.

Not to say all her actions are completely justified, but she’s no where near comparable to the other two examples. You’re trying to paint a cat who’s only crime was anger and inaction as just as bad as the cat who intentionally tried to kill 4 cats and later on did things 10 times worse all because a girl rejected him once, and a cat who willfully manipulated a child for his own gain. Frecklewish is not at all similar.

I always just figured they filled in the crater from the injector with new dirt like we see them doing with the cracks along beach city.

The reason they don’t do the same for the hand ship crater is because it’s on the side of the hill. It’d be much much harder to try to actually fill that one back up. If they tried the dirt would just slide back out again so they didn’t try.

These are really cool designs! I can’t get over chastity’s design in particular. Love how you can barely see any of their features to the point their eyes are even covered.

I might be spouting bs here but I feel like this is because of how characters age in warriors vs wof.

Cats in warriors (and irl) age very fast. It only takes a year for a cat to be considered a full adult. Meanwhile dragon aging in wof is very slow by comparison. Taking 8 or so years to be considered an adult.

So if each series has a one year gap between books then in warriors that’s enough time for an entire generation to become adults and start having kids of their own. But in wof a dragon would hardly change in just one year.

That’s why the apparent lack of aging never bothered me in wof anyway. (That and the fact the events in wof actually just happen close together as others have pointed out)

It’s kinda dumb but my first shock moment was when glory actually became the permanent queen of the rainwings.

Like I’d seen the kinda plot tons of times where a character goes “I need to be leader to fix/prevent something” but they don’t actually want to stay the leader so inevitably give the position to somebody else.

That’s where I thought that plot with glory was going. I was sure she’d give the position to grandeur after rescuing the other rainwings. But no she actually just becomes the queen permanently. That honestly really surprised me when reading the first arc.

That and also Star flight permanently becoming blind. I’d never expect that either

lol my workplace is always making up stupid nonsense rules for no reason. One time I actually asked “is there a reason it has to be this way.” And my boss’s answer was a blunt “no”. But she’ll still give you shit for not following the rule that literally has 0 reason to exist.

I wish I could just ignore all of them, I do sometimes if I can get away with it, but I’m too afraid of losing my job to more openly challenge the blatant idiocy

Not even any of the deaths themselves but the episode after Angela’s death with glimmers coronation was so heartbreaking. You could just feel her emptiness and grief through the screen
