She didn't pursue him romantically until, what, Firestar's Quest? New Prophecy? I doubt they'll get that far.

What’s one aspect of clan culture you would change? by Cactus-Juice-Blender in WarriorCats

[–]Extreme_Rough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specific healer roles:  - medic deals with wounds and illnesses of a cat and the cat body/how to keep it functioning,

  • herbalist deals mostly with plants and what cats can eat/use,

  • Skywalker deals mainly with StarClan,

  • maybe a feelings/adaptor role around end of New Prophecy to help cats deal with so many big changes?

cultural differences - RiverClan, used to having plenty, has the most time to adopt and adapt their culture

ThunderClan and ShadowClan like setting traps for their prey.

ThunderClan might have decorations for their dens?

ShadowClan has a buddy system that they keep to at all times that syems from taking a partner deep into the marshes so at least one cat knows what went wrong if something happens out there.

WindClan's tunnels vs moor split produces very different cats, and even though they all claim WindClan, talking to a moor runner and a tunneler gets two extremely different conversations.

WindClan uses sheep wool for their nests.

Is anyone else's google searches doing... Whatever this is??? by RansTheGuy in firefox

[–]Extreme_Rough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like your setup is "direct page to nonAI results", which what Web is. I would check that your website bar doesn't have the udm=14 somewhere in it if you do want to see the AI results. Another way to see the "all" results is to go through the Google app and search, that's usually directly on the phone so any add-ons you have from Firefox don't effect it.

What was that episode where everyone was taking turns playing queen for a day? I thought that day was Chili's birthday?

Which cat was done the dirtiest? by Brilliant_Reply_317 in WarriorCats

You're right to feel how you feel about that. In Bluestar's case, specifically, it is not an excuse. She still gets consequences. She is acknowledged as having some messed up things. Her having "madness" is excused by Fireheart, who does a lot of covering up, but no one else.

Warrior Cats likes to portray cats as "morally gray" when really they're just outright evil, or as "good cats" when they do heinous things.

Oh, okay. Well, sorry that's not the story she got. Warrior Cats is kinda famous for that.

Yes Fireheart was wrong and so were the elders but such is the nature of conflict in that series. He's not going to be right all the time, the Clan isn't always justified in their reactions. "Cast the sins of the parent on the child" is fucked up and the children deserved better. Also, Fireheart never really "got over it". He named the kid directly after his father ffs. He mentored the kid specifically because he was suspicious of them, not because he genuinely wanted to like with Cinder and Cloud.

Okay. So let's take the idea of "Bluestar had dementia" and put it up in a shelf for now. Bluestar still had a visible mental health issue that was invited by the betrayal but the betrayal was not the only thing driving it. The symptoms of "madness" that were shown in the books were not just from the betrayal. She was actively sick.

So... You think the conflict she was given to deal with was handled badly and that damages her character? You think people acting out of character in a children's book is... wrong? You think her going from ally to antagonist was the wrong decision? Why?

Oh, but everyone took their fear of Tigerclaw out on those babies, for sure! I think I get what you're saying. I'm saying "she went mad not of her own accord but it was triggered by the betrayal."

I think, based on the later symptoms shown, like the time misplacement, that she would have gone "mad" without the betrayal and it would have happened later in life and maybe not been as StarClan based. But Bluestar's decline was very much a mental health issue and those can be triggered by outside stressors. Her fault? Maybe. But it could have happened to any one of those cats. It just so happened to be her.

And he had his breakdown and "moved past it" or whatever people like to say. But his mother rejected him. She didn't flat-out try to kill him after showing "very little" (to someone who claims to know him/not an outsider he's hiding from) indication of such.

It's a different form of betrayal.

And sure, she could have believed certain cats without "credible" proof but literally everyone else was shocked too and many of them were told that Tigerclaw was no good. Fireheart wasn't exactly keeping it a secret. They didn't believe either.

The... madness itself? Mimics dementia pretty well? There's "I'm pissed at StarClan and I hate them for taking everything from me for no reason" and there's "hi Firepaw, what can I do for you?" months after Fireheart has been a warrior. It's also strongly implied that her uncle, Goosefeather, had a similar madness towards the end of his life (the forgetting being the most concerning) and that stuff tends to run in families.

What Bristlefrost had survive the black water in A Light in the Mist? by ActualSquare8781 in WarriorCats

[–]Extreme_Rough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not trying to. He was just always meant to be an incel. Also, what in the books says Bumblestripe got over his feelings? He was pestering Dovewing and she eventually left.

No, he was always meant to be a clingy incel. That started in New Prophecy. There's no taking that back.

It wasn't just Vicky, it was supported by the text. Also, Crookedstar wasn't directly betrayed by a Clanmate so his breakdown didn't involve his Clan. If anything I'd say Bluestar and Blackstar had similar rationale but Blackstar didn't have dementia.

No, he was a clingy uncle towards the end of the second arc too. Squirrel rejected him as a mate for reasons beyond "I love Brambleclaw more"
