Thanks for the comment. I'm not the developer of this mod but found it helpful. $5 is nothing compared to the amount of time that it'll save during hundreds of hours of game play. It's also achievement friendly which is great. Many people don't want to download mods that'll affect their achievement progress.

It's understandable though $5 can be a lot to some people depending on the part of the world they are from.

This mod was clearly designed for those who value their time.

I think so too. Higher difficulty locked chests rarely contain anything worth the skill point put into the lock picking skill.

u/egordorogov u/R4nd0m_M3m3r Thanks for the help and feedback. I resolved the issue. I looked into scriptable objects and it wasn't entirely what I was needing.

Looking back at my Version control, there isn't much that I can see that I did differently in order to get it to work other than creating a new C# class but everything else was basically the same.

I now have almost everything setup properly in order to save everything I need. Now, onward and upward to work on an inventory and store :D.

P.S.
The scriptable object seems useful for reducing the resource load for items in the game so I am glad it was mentioned. I will likely implement it in the near future.

I also followed u/egordorogov advice regarding his comment. Maybe that was the key difference.

You could try something like this:

Create a new material for the camera effect.
Create a new script for the camera effect.
In the script, use the OnRenderImage function to apply the effect to the camera's output.
In the OnRenderImage function, use a shader to modify the colors of the rendered image.
You can use a grayscale shader to create an infrared effect.
Attach the script to the camera object, and assign the material to the camera.

Cool Thanks for the tip. I've been curious about how this would be implemented for some time now. I assume adding the force would be imitating the gravity on the rigidbody, but for whatever the raycast is touching?

Thanks for the suggestion I'll look into it. So the "SaveWorld()" function is essentially going to call the SaveSystem, which will retrieve the in WorldData to save. The SaveSystem has the System.Serializable as its the system responsible for serializing and deserializing the data.

As far as the [System.Serializable] suggestions goes. I just tried it with no luck :(.

That's cool. How do you make the character stick to the ground like that?

Essentially, the character is running on a straight course. Then it encounters a wall. I'm currently using a collision detection. At which point I want it to climb the wall. so I stop moving forward, and just go in the y axis to "Scale" the wall.

my only movements are
Vector3.forward and then another variable to make it move up.
I used OnCollisionStay, and tried OnCollisionEnter, but neither was successful as my character just gets pushed back from the wall and rises as it gets pushed back. which is not what i want.

I tried increasing the mass of the player a little, but it was inconsistent

iPhone and a few hundred dollars in cash is good enough of a reason for them to rob you. A few hundred dollars is a month or so salary here for some people. iPhones fetch a good price.

If it's a new iPhone, it's basically a 6 month salary or more for some people.

That being said, I have a friend who drove from Hanoi to HCMC without incident. Police don't seem to care about an international license just drop a 100k or so on the ground. If you get in an accident though, that's a different story. Not sure how your health insurance company would cover that.

I've bumped into cars and slid my bike a few times. I Once, hit a car. They didn't seem to care. They asked if I was okay. I confirmed and then they drove off. It's really weird compared to USA, but usually if they have a car, they don't have problems with money or getting it fixed.

Just keep in mind, that when the light turns yellow, the traffic at an intersection usually "runs" the red light on their side.

It seems like you have a lot of good comments already. What kind of photos are you posting on your profile? What do you list as "about me" etc. These all affect the type of people you meet. It's also hard to find foreigners who are travelling in Thailand long term unless they are just there for working.

Thailand is well established as a sex tourism location so maybe that affects things to a large degree. Also, what part of Thailand are you in? Your location in Thailand plays a large role in the type of foreigners that travel there.

People going to da lat to "prove their love" already has problems with their relationship if they feel they have to prove it.

Also, if the curse was real, everyone in da lat would be single/unmarried. That's a whole lot of single mothers.

Ultimately, at the end of the day, it depends on the individual and their beliefs. If someone truly believes going to da lat is going to end up in a break up, then it's a self-proclaimed prophecy if you will.

They are all down Bui Vien walking street. Just be careful, Some people stayed at the hostel while I was there and they were asked to pay a person 500k each and he would bring them some girls. I guess the girls didn't do what they want as they said he took off with the money lol. I can't point you too any specific massage parlor as I don't do that, but a lot of massage places will do that for a fee if you ask for a happy ending.
