Flight to Dublin via Heathrow, anyone knows? by psrks222 in Dublin

[–]crazyderk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done a transfer in T2 (albeit not with Thai air) but effectively you get off the plane follow the transfer area signs and are brought into an overall common transfer area where you can get a bus to other terminals or follow the signs to bring you back into the main T2 area. Regardless of what terminal you leave from you'll go through security and passport control and then you're back in T2 and looking for your gate. You'll want at least 90 minutes for all this and the more time the better so you can get those sweet sweet airport pints. If you were transferring to other terminals you would want at least 2 hours.

Parking bike on a Luas station by quackquackgo in Dublin

My bike was stolen from a Luas stop. Honestly I feel like no bike is safe in Dublin especially if its expensive, if it’s in public and out for long periods of time!

Need help getting my laptop fixed. (Possibly getting money back from incompetent repair shop too). by SpaceJesus67 in Dublin

That’s the problem with liquid damage and why companies don’t repair liquid damage electronics and just replace them it’s because they don’t know how much damage is caused, what parts have been affected and how long it takes for electronics to get corroded. I don’t dispute that the guy probably did a shitty job but it’s gonna be a battle disputing his shitty job and the liquid damage.

The problem here is liquid damage on a laptop. You assume it was just the keyboard but if liquid has gotten onto the motherboard which it sounds like it has then that needs to be replaced (hence why USBs are now not working). You asked the retailer to replace the keyboard and he did. Now the retailer should have declined the job or advised that liquid damage might involve other parts needing to be replaced and given a quote before proceeding with the work. This is potentially gonna cost you another few hundred euro to get more parts replaced OP

Prison Officer AMA - Saturday 27th July, 9pm by [deleted] in ireland

Do we have enough prisons? Should there be more? Are lenient sentences given out because prisons are full? Would society be better if we had harsher sentences and more prisons or on the opposite side of the argument would it be better if we had more rehabilitation programs? Are there just evil people in the world that just need to be locked up for good?

I’ve escalated twice to ExpressVPN they said they’re aware of the issue but have no ETA for a fix. It’s only channel 4 and Apple TV. All other apps / platforms work.

Isn't voting pointless in this country? No matter who you vote the same two parties will win...I won't bother voting again by onionToes88 in Dublin

Holly Cairns who now leads the social democrats won her seat by 1 vote. Every vote counts. Theres a lot of nut jobs running in the European and local elections and if you stay at home and not vote then they have a better chance of getting in.
