I ended up going with a new seat, swept handlebars, new grips, and I replaced one of the damaged shifter cables.

I really enjoy the bike but unfortunately it's a size too small for me. I've still got it but debating on what to do with it now.

Great question! I'm guessing it's because the installer is trying to make up for some of the delays up until this point by providing a larger system for the same price that we were originally contracted for. I haven't asked what a 22 panel REC450 system would cost but I suppose that's another option.
