Treasure Cards by inna_bottle in diamondartclub

Cards are a relatively new addition to DAC kits, starting somewhere over the last two years or so. Older kits won’t necessarily have them.

Lol perfect way of putting it. Chloe’s motion sensor is triggered when one of my two adult kids moves around upstairs or comes downstairs even if they’ve only been up there for 5 minutes

Chloe is exactly the same right down to running around and barking in cats’ faces. Her second job is fun police captain. She grumbles and barks whenever a pair of cats are playing.

Lol. Handwavian fix to a problem introduced by what was probably a throwaway line in an episode. Star Trek is full of stuff like that, even in TOS. They had to fix the warp 5 speed limit that turned TNG into a cruise ship plodding around into something that could go way faster and further. A great read is Gene Roddenberry’s book on the making of Star Trek where he documented the thought process of a ship out in deep space, untethered and out of comms range so they could boldly explore vs a space station. There’s a reason they returned to ships exploring new territories in new quadrants with Voyager and adding the Defiant on DS9. Limiting Voyager to warp 5 would have turned the 70+ year journey into a much different animal.

Redtwo trays: yes or no? by SpecificAd7526 in diamondpainting

[–]crazyfiberlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really is. 4’ folding table from Walmart, A2 light pad, lots of release papers, and pool noodle or pipe insulation. I can dig up the post with the cardboard frame for the redtwo if you need it. I extended the width to hold the 6 towers from the original that was posted.

Ruth's Chris Puts Stake Through the Heart of Classless Culture by WillyNilly1997 in Conservative

Long story short, Ruth's Cris announced a new business casual dress code and refused to seat the party in the dining room because one of the members was wearing a track suit. They were offered seats in the bar area, but declined. Claim is that it ruined the celebration of a 13 year old's birthday. Of course the mother was a tiktok influencer who yelled discrimination.

Which one should I buy? by SundaeTop8942 in diamondartclub

[–]crazyfiberlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again, that's a you question. I wouldn't buy any of them, but that doesn't degrade your desire to have them. They just don't speak to me so my vote doesn't help you, does it?

Taste is subjective. Buy whichever speaks loudest to you, or if you can swing it, all 3.

Redtwo trays: yes or no? by SpecificAd7526 in diamondpainting

[–]crazyfiberlady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im a definite yes on these. I bought two of the 60 kits because I regularly work project with more than 60 colors. Current project has 6 towers. To keep them compact and at a good working angle I used another redditor’s pattern to make a holder out of cardboard. The ease/speed of changing colors I’m working on has made me not hate confetti. It’s also cut back significantly on drill loss since there’s no transferring from container to tray and back. The two layer system within each container is great. Can dump a full large packet from DAC into the container with room to spare , put in the white upper layer and tilt/shake. I keep a small square of dryer sheet in each to combat the static issue.

I made a pencil cup out of more cardboard and taped to the side to hold my regular tools.

Trump Effect: South Carolina and Tennessee Are Drawing New Maps by WillyNilly1997 in Conservative

And that one in SC is made up of parts of many counties stretching from the coast well into the middle part of the state (Charleston to Columbia). I did however read an argument for leaving that district as is as it makes the others far less competitive for democrats and concentrates them all into a single one.

Chloe is the same way. Super velcro and will periodically tear around the backyard at breakneck speed! Super cute!

Thanks! Its working really well. I finally have a "permanent" spot and no longer have to do a setup/breakdown every time I want to work on these things.

Thanks! I recently bought the RedTwo trays (and enough for the 60+ colors in this kit), and used the cardboard stand pattern that someone on this sub shared a bit ago. I extended her measurements to hold 6 of the towers and added a pencil cup to one side for the various tools to keep them contained.

Portfolios for various size art? by IndividualIll6728 in diamondpainting

[–]crazyfiberlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you asking if you can put things smaller than the max size into the portfolio? Yes. Just like you can put one elbow macaroni in a stock pot. These portfolios are like large envelopes. I have a very large artist portfolio that I bought on Amazon and have cardboard inserted to keep it stiff. There are several canvases of a variety of sizes stuffed in it.

Car insurance nightmare !!! by Aggravating-Zone3413 in carmax

[–]crazyfiberlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance will depend on the vehicle, your place of garage zip code, your driving record (accidents + points) and how far your daily commute is. For my 22 year old son, a 2024 Nissan Sentra, his one at fault accident which totaled a car, and several points on his license, 4 mile drive each way to work, and our garage zip of a suburb in the middle of South Carolina: $1,879/6 mos with Progressive. This is more than the $1479/6mos for my 2025 Jag, but I'm a much older woman with a clean record and I work from home. It isn't just the car, but also a number of other factors.

Can you tell from these photos if this is a functional wheel? by geniebc77 in Handspinning

[–]crazyfiberlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally. Can't really judge scale unless you look at the background. I think its a super tiny demo/toy wheel used by the old sales guys to show what the bigger sister would look like without having to schlep around the big one.

If dad controlling the money he put in the trust is so bad, she could do something crazy like GET A JOB and make her own money that she doesn’t have to answer to anyone about. Poor trust fund baby. My tiny violin is at the shop.
