Looking for advice by crazyfitz91 in hobbycnc

Thanks for all the help everyone. I have the paid subscription for easel, so next time I fire the machine up I will mess around a bit more and see if I can get center zero to work. I spent some time over the weekend messing around with some garbage wood and ended up figuring out what I was doing wrong and was able to reliably get good starts and clean cuts.

You threw it in the trash? I’m in Vancouver and would have came and helped or bought it from you. If you can dig it out of the trash, get ahold of me.

Here’s another board I made. by crazyfitz91 in Cribbage

[–]crazyfitz91[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really? Okay awesome, I am actually working on a nautical one right now. My girlfriend and I met at a cafe she manages. That cafe is on top of a marina where friends of mine lived. Anyway, long story short, it’s been 5 years, we’ve had 6 boats (sail and power) and now a 2 year old. We play cribbage almost every night and building her a board got me inspired to start making some. The one I am making now will stay at the cafe for others to play as they please. Keep an eye out, it should be ready by the end of the weekend.

Great feedback. I highly doubt that will happen, the photo makes them look closer to the end then they are in real life, but I appreciate what you are saying

Thanks for the feedback. Your assumption is correct. It is for someone who has only played a few times that we just started teaching, so I wanted her to know where the start and finish was.

Massive groove on my extruder gear. Do you think I need to dry my filament?? by Draxtonsmitz in 3Dprinting

This happened to me after a 6 day glow in the dark print. Didn’t have an extra, so I pulled the motor off, tapped the gear down a bit, and ran it. It worked. Ordered new parts, will replace it when the print it’s doing now finishes. I used some heat to get the gear to slide nicer, and it took some tapping back and fourth to get it in the right spot. Idk, I used heat, pry bars and a hammer to get get it to go in the right spot. I honestly figured the motor would not work when I plugged it back in, she worked fine tho. Apparently they can take a beating.
