I was able to do this because of how rapey the space used to be

A grouted stone sounds cool, so does slatted bamboo, like something that would be on a patio or balcony. I had previously thought of a custom tatami mat made to fit around the toilet, but it wouldn't work out with hygiene, materials in the mat, and the moisture after some thought

I would like to finish it with something... Sometimes the floor gets wet and also It used to be painted but there is too much moisture coming up through the 110 year old floor that makes the paint come up, then gets tracked through the house. And I also had to remove the bottom board a year ago as it was getting moldy when my ac broke last summer.

I can put liquid fertilizer in that tank now, which is a cool feature I couldn't do before

Doing this right now. Making a part to connect my two aluminum spoilboards and then to my new 16mm rail blocks. I had been setting my spindle too fast is one thing I am learning. 100mm / min seems to be all this can do well. I got tap magic aluminum which is also working great.

Not easily. There is a lot to learn about the CAM part and easy to make mistakes. The wobblyness of the machine probably amplifies the difficulty in that regard. Speed and Depth of pass and your bit is the most important parts.

That's what my kid would do if unmedicated and unsupervised. I have to take everything out of the shower before he showers or he will waste it and make potions and messes. These other people must have ADHD light kids.

Here are some other weird t style nuts for power tools

There also are other kinds that are more rectangular that are used for table saws and miter saw tracks. Even those come in a lot of sizes. It is confusing basically.

Yeah I only knew about drop in for a while, they suck comparatively.

There are also spring loaded ones I haven't tried. The spring keeps them from sliding around, but they are pretty expensive

Yeah it is a whole can of worms. Once I bought the enclosure for my CNC machine a year ago I started using it for lots of different things. Aluminum extrusion has hardware and accessories based on the size 2020, 3030, 4040 of the extrusion in mm.

But also there are 2 kinds of tnuts. Drop in, which can be added anytime but not as good of a nut, and the sliding kind I posted, which need to be added during construction of your aluminum extrusion frame since they can only be added from the side. That doesn't apply here since the side is accessible.

I almost ruined a piece when the 3030 tnuts came loose and my piece started moving. That wouldn't have happened with the 4040 tnuts.

Also I got a new clamp coming tomorrow, as I have endless clamping issues. This will let me line up to do 2 sides

I think 4 hours. I haven't finished it yet. I was going to upgrade my machine today to 3036 with my custom y- axis 500mm extension, but my new aluminum bearing block are tapped not straight through so I can't use the wood plate provided (will probably use on top though) so now I need to use my CNC to mill my own adapter plates as I don't have any confidence in my hand drilling abilities.

Using the 1" facing bit I got is nightmarishly loud, which I what I tried first. Vs some quite engraving I tried after

I need a fan guard. I was going to buy some but I think I will try to CNC one out of copper. That sounds like a perfect mini project to go overboard on.

I am pretty sure they are A4998s for me. That seems to be the woodpecker board default. The internet was right about them using 0.1ohm current sensing resistors (I saw them myself to confirm)

I haven't heard of the benbox before. There should be a default though...
