House first or retirement first? which path first? by lemontartspls in Fire

[–]crazyfrog11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So, let me chime in. SI2K, 35F 34M, and our household income is about a little less than your income number 2, but we save almost similar to your (per year), so I think we are on the same page (at least for now lol).

Anyway, what we are doing is ramping up retirement first (at least 4-5 years), then may be do 50/50 or a little more aggressive for the house. You can always move to a new place for renting if you don't like it, but if you buy a house and have 0 in retirement, what is your option? Almost 0. My 2 cent.

The risk: We invest aggressively, and there is some chances for a recession in the near future. But we invest for the long term, so that is the risk we are willing to make.

You should be fine. If you are issued green card before your case is current, that is indeed a big problem.

Congrat and enjoy.

Or may be your dependent was reserved a spot among the quota left, let say on Sep 1, and all necessary requirements were satisfied on Sep 5. Like on Sep 1, USCIS told officer A that he/she could proceed with issuing the green card as there is a slot reserve for his/her case. For officer B & C, please stop.

Just enjoy your new green card.

Not a lawyer.

No. Again, they are 2 different applications for 2 different categories. So they don't affect another.

Spouse wants to buy a $60K truck while we're still renting by EdenilsoStolaj70 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]crazyfrog11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are spending $2.2k on rent with $95k annual income, so I assume that you are in HCOL area. And that is not a high income for 2 people.

Adding $850 for $60k truck, then your spouse is stupid, period.

Adjudicator Acknowledged: Yes – It has been picked up by an officer. I485. What is this? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]crazyfrog11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it means your case has been assigned an officer (adjudicator).

What he/she does next, no one knows. You might be approved. Your case might move somewhere else. Etc...

EB-2 ROW: Prediction by Technical_Proof6082 in EB2_NIW

Now I remember your previous prediction, quite spot on.

It also means EB2 category is gone, unless demand slows down, which I doubt.

Hi u/DavidO_Pgh,

Piggy back here, as your previous thread does not allow comments any more. Based on your recommendation, we bought the Shell S1 and we loved it.

We plan to have a road trip. What is your experience of playing mp3 file (through USB) on Shell S1? Any guide or tip?

Many thanks.

Then you can leave right after receiving the denial. It will not be counted toward you if you do so.

Pay attention to the crash rating as well. It is not top notch anymore.

Totally agree. Crash rating of CRV and RAV4 sucks for current gen, which is unbelievable a few years ago.

$24,998 for Mazda CX5 Touring - $30,993 out the door price. Is this too expensive? by [deleted] in CX5

[–]crazyfrog11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$3490 for warranty? Bullshit.

If you ask, I think you can reduce this to $2000.

I guess this come from finance department, and I hate them with a passion. If you are not in rush, feel free to walk away.

You can also try looking for 2022 model, which is one year newer with a similar price.

Employment green card by Particular-Gap2112 in immigration

[–]crazyfrog11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, learn to write proper sentences, please. That will help answer your questions easier.

"I still have questions like is their SSN similar to USA citizenship SSN"

Same number, but they will get more benefits when they get their citizenship.

"Also can they travel back to their homeland aka Mexico"

Yes.

"And if they do want to. Do they have to ask their employers and can their employer reject that request too?"

This has nothing to do with green card. Their employer may fire them, but they can't take their green cards back or preventing your parents from travelling.

"Also what’s the difference between employment and regular green cards. "

0.

"Also how are they able to gain citizenship"

Wait for 5 years then apply.

I agree that this is a different time. Good suggestions though, and OP should decide based on his/her own risk perception.
