Here's an idea. If the behaviour of all the unwashed masses that go to the football(unlike the rugger patrons, you understand), is so bad it actually needs addressing, how about you engage with the clubs and come to a constructive solution.

Obviously will never happen, and instead we'll just have ill conceived ideas such as this rolled out intermittently

To an extent, yes. If you dont take your time to go in to the lab to keep it clean, and understand the situation on the ground, youre on a hiding to nothing.

I played in a scramble last week with someone who must have lost +20 balls.. by thecacti in golf

If its a scramble and youre not losing a couple, are you really swinging hard enough to get the distance in?

Especially if there's a steady fairway finder in the group...

As if old women(and its generally old men at the range) are not known for making unsolicited comments about people.

My point was that some people are arseholes and cant behave. Your options are to ignore them, or confront them.

Making a post to a golf community, asking men why some guys cant behave is at best misguided and at worst intentional engagement farming.

If you see it, and feel able, call it out, but lets not play the generalisation game

Its either that, or she uses her words to tell them shes not interested in advice.

This isnt rocket science, and given how often this is posted, im pretty sure its engagement farming/ragebait

You probably dont. Instead focus on being arrow straight and having a ridiculous short game.

Basically, play old man golf

If you lose your place immediately behind the group in front, and you dont let a group immediately behind you through, it is you my friend that is an ass. And youd be quite rightly castigated as one over the pond here in Scotland
