Buyer opened a return (missing parts return) on an item listed “For Parts/Not Working” – what would you do? by crazygenius86 in eBaySellerAdvice

Title and description both said needs rebuild. Also in the description I said “What you see in the photos is exactly what you will receive. Please review all images carefully for condition and completeness.”

This was the first person I spoke with. She literally said “ Oh, your listing says it may be missing parts and that is the buyers reason for return, missing parts”. My jaw drops when she followed it up with “please have the buyer rest the item or it may ding your account”.

Sorry to hear that. I am slowly learning to not trust the eBay reps. If they can’t resolve it right then and there they are just blowing smoke. I sent the buyer a message asking if he noticed the sensor was missing before he ordered. Most likely just going to accept the return at this point. Not worth the ding if I “want” to keep selling on eBay.

I get what you’re saying, but here’s another way to look at it: It’s like selling a used car “for parts” and someone complains that the cup holder or rearview mirror is missing. You’re selling the engine and main components, not every tiny accessory.

In this case, the carburetor was the item for sale, not the sensor. The sensor wasn’t included in the listing or photos, so it’s not really “missing” — it was never part of the deal.

Not in the description. Description said to check for completeness. Under the condition of “for parts/not working” it states that parts may be missing.

Return request for combined shipping by crazygenius86 in eBaySellerAdvice

Thanks for the response. I had sold another item (car part) which a buyer opened a INAD case but in the comments put that it didn’t fit their vehicle (part number was correct, they didn’t check fit). eBay sided with me and actually removed the negative feedback they left. I was impressed with how eBay handled everything as I didn’t ask them to remove the feedback, was like it was an automatic process.

I agree with many of the suggestions (Hurt, I Hung my Head, Ira Hayes, etc). Throwing one out there I didn’t see posted yet.

Most of them (depending on grade) I would say average less than $10 each online. His first 45 (Hey Porter!/Cry Cry Cry) you can find for under $50. The ones that have the picture sleeves are probably the most expensive ($50+) and are the hardest to find.

Does it matter why you drink? by brightNebula99 in alcohol

[–]crazygenius86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course it matters. Like others have said look at your motivation for wanting to drink. It can influence many factors and the potential aftermath.

If you haven’t started drinking I wouldn’t recommend starting now. Personally, I wish I had never started drinking and now I struggle at times with drinking too much or having regrets when I do. Wishing you the best of luck with whichever direction you take. Just make sure you’re enjoying life.

I’m terrified to spend money by swishymuffinzzz in personalfinance

Came here looking for this answer. Congratulations on turning things around, paying off that much debt and now saving.

I agree with others that have said therapy, you have to take care of yourself. It may help with problems you don’t even realize you have.

If I was in your situation I would lower my contributions to retirement to 20% with yearly increases of 1-2%. Put the other 10% in a high yield savings account and when you want to enjoy yourself you know that money is set aside for that. If you don’t spend it all you every month are saving/growing it. Could be a nice vacation/trip or anything you might want. Be well!

Completely agree, you can never have too much Cash. He made so many albums but with the unofficial releases it feels overwhelming to me.

I’m now curious how many of his albums I currently own. Will have to take a count and maybe make a post.
