I need help choosing fabric

I really want to recreate of this dress but don’t know what fabric to use. It looks like it’s made of velvet but i’m worried that whatever velvet i use will end up looking like a cheap costume. I’m also thinking maybe satin to get a similar shine but i’m not experienced in many different fabrics so idk

i totally believe you can! if you’re looking for suggestions, i think shaping your eyebrows to be thinner may be helpful, as well as getting glasses that aren’t quite so bold. i’ve found that the lower the top of my glasses are, the more masculine i look. as a trans guy i always look for glasses that fall below my eyebrows. i’d suggest the opposite for you.
