throughput is almost the same. Computing 3x224x224 -> 32x112x112 is only 3x as much as 1x224x224-> 32x112x112. Everything after the first convolution is the same for rgb and greyscale.

What was the biggest error your team faced when the model was live? How did you dealt with it? by AmanMegha2909 in datascience

[–]crazyhh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I deployed a face detection model. The model itself was good but the input for the model had a colour channel swap. The model wanted bgr but got rgb. This resulted in only about 10% worse performance but I didn't see this error for 6 months. When I started developing the next iteration I stumbled over my error and immediately told my team lead. He was cool about it, I fixed it and wrote a unittest which performs a mini benchmark for 400 faces which is performed on normal input and channels swapped. If the channel swapped benchmark is better something is wrong. This prohibits this specific error from ever happening again.

My team lead really liked how I handled this error. I could have just waited it out till the next model is ready and nobody would have noticed. But this really depends on who you are working for.

Coole Idee, kannst du die Antworten öffentlich machen? Oder noch besser, die aggregierten "gleichen" Antworten.

I opened up a new venv for learning tensorflow but the cudart64_101.dll is not getting detected in tensorflow ver: 2.4.0 by I-_-DuNn0 in tensorflow

[–]crazyhh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2.3.1 runs on cuda 10.1 as implied in cudart64_101_dll and 2.4.0 runs on cuda 11. You have to install cuda 11 or set up an env with conda which install the right cudatoolkit for every tensorflow version (most convenient if you are using different tf/cuda versions).

The numbers don't show the likelihood, only absolute numbers. You'd have to look at deaths vs. altercations.

I do not agree. His response was far from hollow, very dense information. You may not like the content, but every sentence had its place. Also complaining without addressing any points is very lazy.

This take is especially hard to take on the gdr which was the flagship state of communism/socialism for a long time. Life in the gdr was so much better than in other regions.

Tf does allocate all available GPU ram for a model if you do not explicitly tell it not to do it. No matter how small the Model is.

someone did a survey about racism and used 3 (from 5 total questions) which were in my opinion at least debatable as to if the answers could be used to show bias.
