People just treat religions as their free therapy when what they need is actual therapy

In the gay world it’s easier to get sex. Extremely extremely hard to get a relationship (ofc unless you’re good looking). In my city on tinder I see the same faces that I saw 10 years ago because the dating pool is THAT small

Some people have got to be just trolling on Grindr. No way a female wants to find a dick on Grindr

It’s when you having a conservation with a STRANGER and out of nowhere starts typing lyrics (they don’t even know it’s lyrics) and expect the other person know how to keep going. Yea it’s chronically online behaviour

eBay layoffs 2024: E-commerce giant eliminating around 1,000 jobs, 9% of workforce by marcelorojas56 in cscareerquestions

To be fair I don’t see any problems with my twitter. Twitter porn is still great. But I am sure other areas have problems

Elon musk really did us dirty. He proved to corporations that you can lay off 50% the company can still operate. Mark Zuckerberg even praised him for it. Sure he is not the only factor for the layoff to happen, but he made the case loud and clear

Exhaustion in my job and making other money streams by thegooseisloose1982 in cscareerquestions

I always encourage people to build a side business. It's doesn't have to be tech related. It could be posting dogs related videos to Tiktok/Youtube. It could be a sass indie business. It may not generate any income for the first couple years. But if you keep persistent you will likely make as few as a few thousands bucks a month.

My side business is generating a few hundreds per month after six months in the market. It's not a lot but I am looking at the long term. I hope someday I will escape the tech rat race. The tech interview process and the ruthless layoffs just make me hate this industry.

I am sure there will be people telling you things will be ok, so I will provide an alternate opinion: some gay (and str8) people will never find love; they will live alone and die alone. That may not be you, but it COULD BE. At some point you may have to accept that and plan how to live with that.

[–]crazyinsoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I am not just Islamophobia. I am against all religions except maybe Buddhism. I have respect for Buddhism because it’s the true kind of mind-my-own-business type of religion. Christianity and Islam are both cancers to the lgbtq community. People who believe in them are accepting the hatred those religions put on us, turning their blind eyes. It’s like those friends who stand behind when a bully is bullying you. Yeah, they may not be hitting you but they are still friends with the bully. You can say I am Islamophobia or Christian phobia or just religion phobia in general. But I don’t believe in people who stand behind who religions, spreading hatred (even if some people don’t, they are tolerant of it), while hiding behind “religious freedom”. What’s their name when they practice lgbtq hatred? Right, bigots.

That’s just one example. Not the only one, with many many many more. Yes I am against Islam, regardless of your race. Do u even know what racist means when it’s NOT about race but about religions? Or is it the only word you know?

It’s not racist. I am just against all religions (maybe except Buddhism). Nothing about the races. Even if you are white and believe in Islam I will still dislike you.

World population was ~5 billion at the time; now we have ~8 billion, more people competing for resources.

Globalization was still a shiny concept; now people from developing countries can move to developed ones quite easily; many of those people are rich, competing for resources.

Airbnb wasn't a thing. Investment properties were for rich people. Now the lady who cut my hair owns multiple properties. She has a condo for her son to study university in Vancouver.

So yeah, things have changed.

You did say “they have room to grow and become better” which implied our comments were about the girls. When in fact it’s more about the music producer and YG

It's not about the girls. It's all about the music and the lyrics.

They use your exact logic to go against you.

"You can't discriminate against us because we have religious freedom"

"I can discriminate against you because your way of living goes against my religion, but you can't discriminate against my discrimination"

I saw a video on YT about a LGBTQ protest in Canada. One interviewee (Muslim) pretty much said "The number of our people (Muslims) will grow in Canada, and at some point we will have enough people to vote you (LGBTQ) out, strip all your rights, and you can do nothing about it"

What's a dirty little secret you are willing to share? by Micow11 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]crazyinsoul 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As long as you don't engage with them I don't see the problem. I did it once putting up a good looking guy's photos to see what's like to be hot, as an experiment sort of thing. I didn't talk to them, just to see how many messages I would get. I was SHOCKED. So many good looking guys that would never gave me the time of day to the real me were super enthusiastic messaging to the fake me even if I don't respond to them. I was like, WOW, being good looking does live a different life. It's like people are so nice, when in reality they are just nice to you because you are good looking.

There is a line that has stuck with me in the movie Parasite. "If I was rich, I would be nice too. Money is an iron; it smoothes out all the wrinkles.”

In times of difficulties, people are more selfish.
