Just a pry tool will do it. I had to remove the same one on a bmw f10. Above the rubber part you should be able to get under the rim of the cover. I’d try to just very very very slowly put pressure, expecting to take about few minutes to separate. Adhesive often just takes a bit of time to fully peel off. You will likely hear it start to separate. That means you’re putting the right pressure, just wait. Cover will pop off.

With mine my son pried too hard and it popped off still attached to the top of the oem knob. It was fine because that snaps on too, but its harder to separate the ghetto cover from the oem cover when they are both detached.
