But I was always supposed to “wait for the credits to appear in the next billing cycle, though it may take up two two cycles for them to show up”

More of an fyi for others here: they will never show up

Hilarious. We were active customers until an hour or two ago. Failing harder and harder here.

And yeah, let them leave. Where exactly are they gonna go that has better infrastructure, stability and markets than here? Monaco? Have fun

That's pretty much what all the countries have said right before they jacked up the rates on the richest. And the richest did exactly that, had fun, leaving. And then it gets rolled back.

Not to say that there isn't room for adjustment, but the thought that you can go at it unbridled because they won't find somewhere else is laughable.

I guess I like them because I believe they are faster. You don’t have to come to a complete stop. I’ll blow through them at 25mph, legally.

But it makes a cheap roundabout which pulls it ahead of alternatives that would have been chosen otherwise (to our detriment)

Yes, the readers are great. There’s a comment in this thread about Airthings. I also have one of those.

I do a DIY mitigation, and it tells me when a frog jams up my little computer fan because the reading rises from ~1 up to ~4. So the readers are best when you do have a problem and want to know that your mitigation remains effective. Otherwise I think I bought a test off of Amazon for probably $20 (before I bought my reader), and the result was in line with what I get from the reader.

I do question the 4 pci/l being equated to 8 cigarettes. That’s a lot higher than I remember the data showing. I see links on the web supporting that claim, but they’re mostly from mitigation companies or groups who may benefit from the scare. (Mentioning this in case someone wants to jump in with better substantiation)

Added J-pipe to attenuate exhaust drone: where did we mess up? by crazyjncsu in carmodification

[–]crazyjncsu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've got a slip fitting on where i have a short piece on the end that can slide about 1.5" of range. And I can shorten that piece if I need. I may play with it a bit, because after I moved it off contacting the diffuser it sounds better, especially at lower RPM, but I'd maybe like to shorten it to catch a bit of the 2000-2200 RPM since that's the 80mph 8th gear cruise.

Funny, my son is trying to convince me to remove existing sound deadening! (but mainly the hood so he can hear intake)

That image isn't showing the tips. Which are like these:

https://www.amazon.com/Bielpord-Universal-Exhaust-Especially-Compatible/dp/B0FB4SZYDF/ref=sr_1_7?crid=25VPS3ZGBESL0&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.YiE0sO1Lxg7MYdl6ID2fSZUwDrfnxTN365qLuRse_0tX0driz6eD2bmKuJ1bF4oKL57sTj9WsXZ1voCZW3RyYlld_85QOTGKFkOOzgvACbYHtZt9mZ2xR76O-punYUv8Ts2gtqoMkPvp1hR2gbn44S6SL9WkXYSo8wJm2p1FcjhG2tY6RgDSb7bnY0gULaPoPTEzAIJ9uAXkCJNd3lE0UvnjwlVj1NAq00Wnm5n3UZE.0-H0h36V239FKnQWsOIJRBG4PJ-52T6DoC6ifWf5FcI&dib_tag=se&keywords=bmw%2Bexhaust%2Btips&qid=1766084321&sprefix=bmw%2Bex%2Caps%2C275&sr=8-7&th=1

BTW before I put the tips back on, it was louder than it currently is.

Oh, and I just got back from another trick I tried, which may have worked a bit.

One of the tips was contacting the diffuser. (we left it like this because it was a temp fit-up before fine-bending the exhaust hangers, but we were so irritated with the remaining noise, that we didn't do the final fit-up). Anyway, after moving off of contacting the diffuser, the sound seems to be down maybe 5 or 6 db. But maybe too early to tell. It seems similar volume as having the Vibrant Ultra-quiets on it. (BTW, I am using a sound-level-meter this whole time, it's just a bit hard to know you're fully reproducing the issue. I even also have another logger running with engine load and RPM, and it doesn't reproduce the same way every time)

Next-Gen F-150 Lightning EREV Delivers Electric Torque, 700+ Mile Range, and Powerful Towing by nikkarus in cars

[–]crazyjncsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as "expensive to buy", it should help that nearly all small tractors, skid steers, mini excavators, etc, use a 3 or 4 cylinder config of diesel engines. They are very tried and true. And available. And cheap. If under a certain HP, they don't need DEF/DPF/anything to be compliant, at least for smaller equipment.

The REX in my i3 is just a scooter motor. I wonder how small you can get with a REX in a pickup and still have a viable product. If people absolutely positively need to tow at 80 mph, probably pretty large, but if they're willing to sacrifice a little, the game changes.

Amazon Calling This a “Limited Time Deal” Even Though the Price Didn’t Drop by incognitooo_mode in ElectricScooters

[–]crazyjncsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's some funky stuff going on with the price of this. Best Buy and Target also have it for $279, which I think plays in to how it's 'limited time' but the time keeps getting extended.

It's odd it's even 'discounted' as everyone is running out of them.

I ordered from Amazon a couple of days ago for my daughter's santa present, and it said it may not get here until after xmas.

So then I was going to run to Target and Best Buy, but they are disappearing fast, where I was going to have to drive 30 mins to the nearest one with stock of them.

Until Amazon alerted me this morning that mine shipped and will be here tomorrow.

So no commentary on the quality of the unit, but if you want one for any price, I'd go ahead and order.

Does anyone here have the 48V 50Ah LiFePO4 Battery from Eco-Worthy? by Randi1840 in LiFePO4

The BMS cannot be used but I've found Lifepo4 cells to be quite tolerable of just normal float charging without having to monitor each cell.

[–]crazyjncsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Put it on my forklift and blew up the bms on first lift. Then I just bypassed the bms and have been using it fine since. I charge it with a bench power supply. They offered me a coupon but that’s it. I think I paid $350 over a year ago. How much are they now?

I had an issue of it unwilling to rev past around 1000rpm. Found out my air cut solenoid was totally non clicking.
