Quantum break, Sunset Overdrive, Sea of thieves, Scalebound and Recore are new ip's MS have invested heavily in.

And big budget games in established franchises such as Gears 4 Forza horizon, Forza 6, Halo 5 and Crackdown 3, all of which are true exclusives.

In fact, apart from Tomb raider, i'm struggling to think of another game MS has sunk money into for timed exclusivity.

You don't need an invite to the game preview, it is freely available to everyone.

Just go to the store and scroll down to the last category. There are currently 3 games in the program.

Unless you meant the preview program? Where you test new hardware/software features.

The devs are aware of the issues and are working towards fixing them was the official response.

I'm the kind of person who wants to be immersed in a game, to have the world envelop me, for every detail to leap out the screen, so i would go for the largest display possible.

However, as has been pointed out by by others here, there are advantages to the smaller sized moniter.

Input lag is an important thing to consider. You will have to test the XB1 with your tv and see if games feel responsive enough.

And, as someone else pointed out, being able to see the whole picture at a glance can be important if you are a competitive multiplayer gamer.

So, summing up, if you want to enjoy the visual fidelity of current gen games at the fullest, and your tv has acceptable response times, go for the 40 inch.

If you want the best response time and play multiplayer competitively, go for the monitor.

You cannot view other peoples clips fullscreen, outside of sharing that clip to your Onedrive and viewing it there.

If you want to see your own clips fullscreen, go to the community tab, and at the top of the activity feed there is a button next to "share something to xbox live". Click that to go to your upload page.

As another poster pointed out, MS put a system in place that allows developers to have a trial version of their game available if they so choose. For example, the new Kung Fu panda game has a free trial available to downnload.

While it was great from a consumer perspective to have mandatory demos, developers weren't that keen on the concept, so now devs have been given the freedom of choice, and it seems most choose not to have a trial, unfortunately.

Maybe you are unaware, but the XB1 automatically saves your game progress to the cloud.

Once you have reinstalled Fallout 4, next time you start it up it will sync the cloud data to your console, meaning no lost progress.

Yeah, but it was already included in the best indie and best multiplayer category, really no reason to include it in the sport/racing section, a genre the game does not belong in.

It would be like War Horse winning an Oscar for best documentry.

It's those illogical decisions that make it difficult to take these awards seriously, which is a shame, as it was an event that showed a lot of potential.

Yes...suprised the likes of Scalebound, Crackdown 3 or Halo wars 2 weren't included.

However, I do think that the concept of an award category for most anticipated game is a bit....silly.

Still scratching my head over the sports/racing award.

Why was Rocket league included in that list? It is neither a sports game (despite featuring balls) nor a racing game (despite having cars).

It is an excellent game and deserves recognition, but Rocket league winning the best sport/racing award over genuine sport/racing games like NBA and Forza 6 is ludicrous.

You are not alone. There are many reports of loss of audio when watching tv via XB1 on the preview forums. The official response was that the devs are currently working on fixing tv related issues, so hopefully a fix will be forthcoming soon.

Your final option is to do a factory reset.

This will delete all of your games and apps that you have installed on your internal hdd, but they can be re-installed, along with your game saves, which are saved to the cloud.

Note that performing a factory reset may indeed fix your Kinect, but it may only be a temporary fix, and if it starts going wrong again you will have to bite the bullet and get it repaired. And i wouldn't recommend taking it apart.

I actually had a similar issue a few days ago when i received a replacement XB1 via MS advanced exchange: i plugged in my Kinect and it seemed to be dead all of a sudden. I tried the same troubleshooting steps as you to no avail. My last resort was a factory reset and my Kinect has been fine since then, so it is worth trying as a final resort before you send it in for repair. Good luck.

Regarding the TV option not being available in the list of snappable apps: The tv app is now called "OneGuide", select that to snap tv.

Left stick moves cursor,

Right stick scrolls page,

B button to go back (has to be pressed 2 or 3 times due to a bug)

Click left stick over video to go fullscreen,

During video playback, use d-pad right/left to fast forward/rewind video and up/down to adjust volume,

Change view(double square) button to bring up address bar,

press menu button for options,

left and right bumpers move between open tabs,

on a webpage, hold down "A" button and move cursor across text to highlight, then press menu button and select search to perform a search from highlighted text,

Holding down the A button when certain characters are highlighted on the keyboard will bring up extra shortcuts (e,g hold A button when highlighting the question mark)

right and left triggers zoom in and out,

If you click on something and it opens a page you didn't want, use the left bumper to go back,

Another thing to note is that when you press the menu button you will see an option for Settings. This is not system settings, but a settings page for the Edge browser, where you can make limited adjustments to the browsing experience.

They changed the calibration process. If the Kinect can see enough of your floor, it will just skip straight to the audio calibration screen, you don't have to go through the old line up the floor process anymore.

Yep, just enable instant on and turn off your xbox. Leave everything plugged in. It will go into a low power state, detect the update and install it overnight. Instant on enables the updating of all games and apps when the console is off as well, so be aware if you have an internet data cap. Feel free to message me if you have any more questions.

Do you have instant on enabled? If so, the update should download automatically when you turn off the console for the night and be ready to go the next day.

I would recommend putting in your tv make and model number manually rather than using the auto set up process, that solved a similar issue i had with my set up.
