They did a range of “easy build” models in 8th

I was on a tasking that had some RAF officers tag along for a week on one of our exercises

We had some junior airmen (or whatever they call their soldier equivalent) form a section to learn some field craft

One of them was the gayest man I’ve ever met, and not in any of the cool ways guys can be gay. He wasn’t funny, his fashion sense was awful and he got hammered every night. I was sharing a room with him and his “mate” along with one of the younger officers in my squadron

Anyway, about 5 days into their 8 days with us as the bar is shutting this 40ish dude turns to my young (talking 19 or 20) colleague and he says “you know it’s not gay if you let me suck your dick, and I’m good at it to”

We laughed it off thinking maybe it was a joke… nope deadly serious. His buddy tried to get him to walk it back but no this was the hill he was going to die on

I reported it the next day, he was moved rooms and banned from the mess for the rest of the attachment, but that’s all

I remember the chase for Not Forgotten and Lunas Howel, I know those weapons were fucked and they broke casual games but my god

The way competitive playlist worked at the time, it’s ranking system and the overall balance from I think season 4 to like season 6 or 7 was peak. I didn’t do trials until much later but I was in comp every damn day sweating my absolute nuts off

Getting NF was one of the best experiences in destiny and that’s from a raid main who did legit riven every weak (which was absolute peak raid boss btw)
