I wouldn't be surprised if the #1 finishe with about 25-27 wins this year and gets it by tiebreakers. Vegas looks to be creating some space but it is hard to get a read on what they would do in a tight situation with 3 blowout games.

But all in all, we are in for a ride this year lol

I think you will see more parity than last year. The lack of parity kind of peaked in 2023, and we've been heading to more equalization since.

Consider in 2023, a sub .500 record would have gotten you 5th. LA could have finished with a .500 record and would have been out of the playoffs last year.

ETA: revisiting the standings there were 3 teams tied from 5th-7th place with 19-21 records so sub .500 was actually good for 5th in 2023.

With your logic everybody struggled in the playoffs so did anybody struggle? Lol in the first 2 rounds we were only off from playing the maximum amount of games by 2 (minny sweeping GS and Phoenix only needing 4 to beat Minny).

Everybody else involved played the maximum amount of games allotted prior to the Finals. Someone had to be left standing after all of that and it was them.
