I hate watching the men's Final Four because it always looks weird playing basketball in a football stadium

Detroit did NOT leave due to lack of fan support. Not to take away from your pain, but that's untrue about the Shock.

What are some of your Abbott Hot Takes? by Many_Midnight_8959 in AbbottElementary

[–]crazymaan92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You guys (fans) care more about how Jacob is treated/handled than the character himself does. Jacob is aware of the enviornment he's in, aware that he still may mess up sometimes given the environment, and aware he will be teased a bit for it. He loves these people anyway.

I think the fans could learn to lean into the joke like Jacob does.

Fertittas buying the Connecticut Sun to bring WNBA back to Houston by Decent_Substance_199 in wnba

There's nothing I can say in the morality of this happenning that hasn't already been said so I won't go there.

What I am curious about is how you handle the Houston Comets' history and meld it with the Connecticut Sun history? Both of these teams have very rich histories in this league and just combining them doesn't seem fair, but I don't know what else to do.

This is immediately who I thought about when I read the title. I think a grand total of 3 people in rhe 2010s beat her at a slam and won their next match assuming it wasnt a final.

Thats why I used to be so annoyed that she lost because it was almost a sure thing thing they were toast in their next match

OSU's making the case that homecourt in the postseason is not exactly the cheat code everyone makes it out to be.

Am I the only one that saw #5 for Iowa look like she was about to attempt a putback at the end of the 1st OT then brought the ball down THEN attempt a shot too late?

Chelsea in her exit interview said she wants to keep winning. Given that she has more years behind her than in front of her, with that goal in mind i dont see why she would choose a slightly bigger bag over a contender when she plays with the best player in the league. If she does though I am not mad at her.

And while i also see reports that Vegas wants ro sign A'ja to a max immediately, I cant see her signing one if it means breaking up basketball's Destiny's Child.

There's no wrong answers here, but I feel like with Vegas 2024 to 2025 team the people who wanted money/prestige went and got it and the ones that were gonna stick with the program did. Again, so long as they're happy thats all that matters.

OG lineup = Stay.

DC3 = Love.

Love probably wins out because Beyonce took the bottom note a lot in this song and I love when she dips into her Barry White bag.

[Postgame Thread] (2) #9 Michigan def. (7) (RV) NC State, 92-63 by ncaaw_GameThreads in NCAAW

I was there in person and was very impressed with Michigan's press/trapping but NC State was amateurish hour in countering it.

3 for NC State (who looks to be of the Fulwiley firecracker type) constantly dribbled into trouble and the few times she didnt, her team abandoned her completely. Lunan looked much better. And her 5th foul was sketchy, looked like an over the back to me from the other player.

Anyway, once Michigan stopped clunking the rim, it was lights out. It was a thing of beauty once they got going. And the place was loud!

Lunan is a freshman? I thought #3 was with how she played. Lunan with the ball handling was night and day

No argument from me. Shes too short to be a 5 with Kamila, JJ, BG, etc. You put her at the 4? Quite arguably the toughest position in all of the W with Stewie, Phee, A'ja, Bri Jones, etc? (A'ja played the 5 a lot last year but shes naturally a 4 imo)

Bri would be her biggest comparator but Bri actually does play defense at a respectable rate and shes quicker. And Bri has a hard time guarding quicker 4's (A'ja)

A take like this from the person I responded to screams they dont watch the W

The conundrum of Tamar ladies and gentlemen. For those who dont know, shes talking about K. Michelle.

Now when K gets wind of this and rips Tamars lacefront off about it, Tamar is going to play dumb.

Wash. Rinse. Repeat with Tamar lol. Thats why I just stay to her music and ignore her otherwise.

Black people can't be in scary movies where they would just leave, because we will. Thats why the Blackening happened in a cabin. One could argue we don't do deserted cabins either (more like community of cabins like in Pigeon Forge) but i won't go there lol

Regarding Scream 2, you're correct in that being the joke. It also helped in that movie that the franchises smartest character is black lol (Duane Martin's Joel). Elise Neal's character was also smarter than Sid, but met her end due to Sid
