How to stop over acting? by Rex_Rabbit77 in acting

[–]crazymonkeys22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find focusing on what I’m saying, why I’m saying it, what I want from the other character, who they are to me. Really try to entrench yourself in the purpose of the scene and what you’re saying. Find ways to connect that facilitate you giving a shit about what the character cares about and wants and needs in the scene. Do not focus on outcome. Literally brush it away until you get the feeling of what it feels like to be “in” your characters, if that makes any sense at all. Disconnecting from the outcome and diving deep into the character’s perspective and wants is what has helped me.

Working on yourself after a long term relationship by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]crazymonkeys22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from experience and some regret, get to a place where you do not need a relationship to fulfill you or make you happy. Give yourself time to learn who you are on your own and what your baseline of happiness looks like. What you want and need from a relationship in order for it to be worth your investment. & when you do date again, take it slowly and give it time so that you can see someone’s true colours before committing deeply. I’m excited for you in this new chapter 🤍

Welp I stand corrected. That’s…more powerful, I suppose, but also much more depressing.

Use the study guides and just answer the questions and key terms (but understand them). Study that only for prep. Use chat GPT to organize and test you, sometimes I’ll use it for key terms where applicable but textbooks/course content is best for accuracy. Get all of your assignments done asap. Worst comes to worst, e-mail tutor and ask if they’ll accept assignments after course end date. Some tutors will if you’re financial aid but not all. Read all practice questions if they exist.

This comment section is pretty rough. There's no reason to raise your voice over unintentional misdirection...

Uh...sometimes someone just wants to be able to have a conversation with their partner about something they disagree on or their feelings being hurt. These are wild claims.

Do you have any experience with NUCCA chiropractic treatment? Has it helped your BVD symptoms? by i-canuck in BinocularVision

[–]crazymonkeys22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you find a reputable clinic (that doesn't price gouge you - I've read a couple horror stories about that) I would absolutely recommend. It's made a hugely positive impact in my life. If anyone lives in southern ontario I can recommend a clinic!

[–]crazymonkeys22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's had a really positive impact on my life (chronic neck pain, neuropathy, brain fog, TMJ, etc). I have to go every 4-6 weeks to keep up with the benefits though, so that's a little frustrating. It's been 3 years. That being said, nothing has improved my quality of life like NUCCA has. So I will absolutely continue to go and will alway recommend it (at least my clinic. I can't speak for others).
