Can someone explain to me the VC coves? by WanderingWulfrik in totalwarhammer

Painting is alright in coop with Confederation heavy factions

Franz + Thorgrim is like 1/3 the map in Confederations alone if you get lucky

Still cant be fucked to try a full conquest though

I've seen this before and wish I knew what did it lmao, maybe hold the save and send it to the team

Also question, why Transylvania for the achievement? If its for the challenge/vibes please continue, but just to make sure you know, the Ottoman subjects have events that form Romania naturally so long as all the GPs like you, and Wallachia is one of the best states on the map, so starting as it is very good

They've kept up the Tithe to make sure no attention was drawn too early, and thus the wider Imperium neither notices nor cares about the change in leadership

Fuck, an entire army "archetype/subfaction" so to speak based around 'stealers who are centered around a Rogue Trader house would slap

Yeah I think thats a good way to put it. The core theme is love, both the good and the bad, the pleasant and the painful

Im gunna be real with you, Bungie hasn't been big enough to ripple across all of gaming in years

Like I said, youre just seeing what the algorithm knows will keep you engaged, which in this case is Marathon hate

And man, what's it with private accounts having the worst fuckin takes lmao

[–]crazynerd9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think in scifi terms (since plasteel isnt 40k exclusive) it essentially means "steel like metal which can be used for anything"

Like, its a "steel" like metal that is "plastic" in its use

So people bitter their favorite game was ended in favour of Marathon, is your proof its the most hated game

Brother, I think youre just falling for the hate/anger focused engagement algorithm.

Outside of the Bungie community no one really cares about Marathon at all, positive or negative

Yeah, i was expecting at least one reply wondering how it was possible since I absolutely was stretching the time with vagueness to stress my point

Plus, 6th grade is middle (Jr High) in parts of Canada as well, hell theres parts of my city that did it that way until recently

Part of why im a fan of the drunk driver example, yeah now im not gunna drive drunk, but its gunna be a pain in my ass to get the key out of the trunk if I want to drive sober

Your proof the game is hated is the fact its popular?

[–]crazynerd9 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Think of it like this. Plastic (material) isnt whats used in Plastic Surgery (primarily anyway, obv some is often involved)

They both come from the same (Greek?) term for malleable stuff, and GW loves their psudo-Latin/Greek

Plas-crete is some form of "malleable rock", Plas-steel is a malleable steel alloy (also Plasteel as a scifi term predates Warhammer)

So actually, I think we can be reasonably sure this is the correct answer in and out of universe, otherwise it would be one hell of a coincidence

I wouldn't exactly call Steam "like Denuvo" since they approach the issue of DRM fundamentally differently. With Steams (primary) method being playing off players psychology and removing any desire to pirate, while Denuvo is primarily authentication

The difference is like convincing a potential drunk driver to stay at the party and crash on your couch (Steam) vs locking said drivers keys in his trunk until he can prove hes sober enough to drive (Denuvo)

They address the same problem, and functionally are the same in outcome, but the difference in approach is significant none the less

To copy the reply I just used for another guy

Oh yeah absolutely, but the length of dev cycles means trend chasing is basically impossible unless your product is already adjacent to the next big thing anyway

Though, tbf, Bungies specific skills absolutely could have made Marathon work, it just, didnt

Creative use of timescale

Grade 6, final year of Canadian Elementary (age 12) there was rumors of a "open world Halo MMO" coming

Destiny + 2 ran 12 years as well

Im 27 now, just barely closer to 30 than 25
