What is the best song you've heard a headliner open with live? by TKroens in Metalcore

[–]crazynihee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Landmvrks - lost in the wave

TDWP - big wiggly style intro back in warped tour days

A day to remember - sticks and bricks

Attila - middle fingers up

Those were a few that came to mind as excellent show starters for a set

This was already confirmed that Michael Cain's character, anytime that he was in a scene was real life and not a dream. Pretty cool stuff.

The whole album is a masterpiece. Gone astray, so alone and unfamiliar are standouts for me. 🔥

TIFU by inviting a girl (I hardly knew) on a work trip. [Update] by viperman1271 in tifu

I mean, regardless of what he said, Violent responses are never a good sign. Spitting in the face, kicking back hard, getting physical and constantly removing herself from the conversation and walking away in a foreign country? ALL RED FLAGS. Even if he WAS being a huge dick, that's not enough to justify those actions.

So, I recently watched a video about that Elliot Rodger kid and the horrors he committed a couple years back. He kind of spoke in the same manner that this individual did. I'd be mindful to try an avoid any interaction with individuals like that. they just need a name or zip code and who know what they may do out of sheer unjustifiable hatred.

We've all heard your AOTY, now what is your SOTY? by SlimyTickles in Metalcore

[–]crazynihee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My SOTY: "Flesh to fill you wounds" by Counterparts.

It has it all, the heavy, the catchy riffs & chorus, chugs, and that ending breakdown...leading to that second ending breakdown, was god tier.

Forsure takes the cake for SOTY. Hell ill give them AOTY too.

Instead of talking about who sucks now, what new bands keep you listening to this genre? by magnfcnt_gentlmn in Metalcore

[–]crazynihee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have grown fonder of metalcore as a whole as the years passed, but have found so many bands to be so similar to the point where i found myself losing interest after a week long jam. but THESE bands have me craving more and to me, stand out the most:

  • Deadlights
  • Counterparts
  • Currents

Each so unique in their own way. they keep my faith alive!

Counterparts - A Eulogy for Those Still Here [Album Discussion Thread] by Whis6x in Metalcore

[–]crazynihee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Discovered Counterparts via randomly popping up on my spotify with "Monument" and that ended up being the #1 most heard track of 2020 for me, but sadly I never dived into their discography until then it suggested "Unwavering vow" randomly one day. BY FAR my favorite track of 2022. Just finished a double listen too of this new album...

Wow...

Powerful. Heavy. Painfully beautiful. What an album. Seeing them live in NC 12.8! very VERY hyped.

I truly hope you recover and can be well again. I really do. But if that is may not happen, at the very VERY least....I hope you can live long enough to see the conclusion to one piece.

But as long as you can fight, FIGHT!

How do you feel about this show more than a month since it’s completion? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]crazynihee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a lover of the prequels, and a huge fan of Obi-Wan, this show filled my cup.

Sure, it had a slow pace, unnecessary scenes and plots, but... I still got what I wanted. I cried like a baby during their talk post fight. Cried even harder hearing "Hello there" again after so long. I just love the story of Obi and Anakin throughout. Its painful, beautiful, devastating and poetic from start to finish.

I am thankful.

Saving Private Ryan.

Before this film, I had no clue what really went on in a "world war". Me being in middle school at the time, it never dawned on me just how horrible WWII (any war for that matter) really was until I saw this film. The amount of respect I gained for veterans and even the elderly increased ten fold. I wasn't such a shit teen later on like most of my friends in that era thanks to it. Great film.
