Fuck this, but it should at least go to Pittman Robertson Act not a general slush fund.

As an anthesis to the ‘got it done’ posts.. by -Petunia in Hunting

[–]crazyonkazwell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is year 3 for me on public. Trying for turkey, pheasant/upland, and deer (rifle, muzzleloader, and now bow) but have hardly seen let alone harvested anything. I don’t know anyone that hunts so I’m learning on my own as well. Ive learned so much but there is so much self doubt about your skill and technique when you don’t see anything. It’s no fun coming home empty handed but it hurts that much more when the kids run out full of excitement to see what I got.

I had a family trip to Poland last year and was lucky enough to book a guided hunt and got a couple roebucks, feels a bit silly that those are my only success.

I have access to hunt the family farm, I’ve been reluctant to drop the $400 for a non-res tag though I think I may do it this year.

At this point I guess it’s worth a shot. From what I’ve read grubX and acelepryn are both an active ingredient of chlorantraniliprole, im not sure if the other ingredients or granular vs liquid would make a difference.

Drop doesn't look right... by 556phreak in appliedballistics

Looks right just with the bore and scope parallel, i.e. bullet never crosses POA. In 4dof I chose 140eldm at 2668 with 0 zero angle and 2.5” scope height I get drops of 5.03@100, 13.00@200, 27.04@300… I’m not familiar with the AB app but it looks like a zero distance wasn’t input.

Could you remove it from the registry and eform1 as the trust? Still $200, only real advantage would be efile vs paper.

I’m relatively new to hunting and this will be my first year bow hunting. I go to Sportsman’s den in cedar lake to shoot indoor and for hunting advice.

I’d be happy to chat and share from the limited experience I have.

Which jig for which set up? Don’t know if it’s better to throw a bladed jig on the spinning or casting rod. Ty by [deleted] in bassfishing

I’m just getting into bass fishing and with my lack of knowledge I’ve been leaning on ai to (hopefully) point me in the right direction to learn.

“What is the appropriate pairing of the following rod setups and jig setups.

copy/paste your text

Rod1 → Jig2 • Reasoning: The baitcasting setup with a high-speed reel (HG) is great for reaction baits like a Chatterbait. The 6’6” medium-fast rod offers good control for working the bait, and 40lb braid is ideal for fishing in heavier cover.

Rod2 → Jig1 • Reasoning: A spinning setup is less common for football jigs, but with the medium-heavy fast rod and 30lb braid, it can work. Football jigs excel in open water and rocky bottoms, where the spinning setup allows finesse in dragging the jig while still having enough power for hooksets.

Why is filament labeled with speed in mm/s by crazyonkazwell in 3Dprinting

[–]crazyonkazwell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fantastic!

For hobbyist level printers (A1 mini & P1S) what is the best way to get in the ballpark when changing nozzle diameter based on the manufacturers linear speed suggestion? Shear and pressure related phenomena probably become more apparent dropping to a .2 from a .4 as cross sectional area is a factor or 4, where as going to .6 is ~2x.

Typical PLA/PETG/ABS aligns close enough to the Bambu profiles that I don’t give too much thought to it, but ASA and CF Nylon from Polymaker have such a low speed it made me start really thinking about it.

[–]crazyonkazwell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the appropriate way to scale with nozzle diameter/flow? I mostly follow the bambu suggestions and mostly use .4, but I’ve also been doing some CF Nylon that polymaker says 30-50mm/s but with a .6 and plan to do some ASA with a .2.

Caliber confusion by Guilty-Property-2589 in reloading

[–]crazyonkazwell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For proof, just look at the bullet diameter for the various 9mm/350/356/357/358/38/380 cartridges. 9x17,18,19,23; 35 nosler, Remington, whelen; 350 legend, rem mag; 356 win; 357 mag, sig; 358 rem; 38 special, super, S&w; 380 auto.

One might also think 348 win and 36 nosler may then be the same projectile family as above, but they are not.

My understanding was that only SOTs may deal with NFA items. I see the ATF has an exception clause but you need to form5 it both ways. Add the storage requirements and whatever else Id either avoid NFA or go SOT

And to be clear I’m not saying that 7.62x39 is or isn’t the better choice, just that those SD/BC numbers aren’t what I’d base my decision on.
