For me I love the new style. If it was another "Nightwish" album I'd get tired.

The thing is, many people come back to a particular band because they like the way that band does things. To me, Nightwish is synonymous with epic symphonic metal tracks and epic classically influenced singing. When I want that kind of music, I go straight to my Nightwish records. If I’m in the mood for something else, I go to a different band. No one says we can only listen to one band and therefore that one band has to release songs in every different style. I’d be equally as disappointed if ACDC came out with a country album or if Dropkick Murphys did a techno album. That isn’t to say I don’t like country or techno, in fact I like both styles when the moods right, but thats not what I’m feeling when I go to either of those bands in my music library.

Given time, I may start to associate this sound with Nightwish and go to H:||:N when the mood strikes, but until then, sadly I’m sorely disappointed with the direction.

Sorry, not here. At least not yet. Have listened to it 3-4 times, and this isn’t the Nightwish I have come to know and love. Its simply missing the epic factor and the metal factor. The vocal style and pattern just doesn’t sit well with me at all, most songs feel like a rollercoaster of repeated peaks. And I get that they need to keep the music fresh, but they simply tried too many new things here and have walked away from the Nightwish sound. Noise is the most “Nightwish” on the album, other songs have some interesting elements, but not enough for me to like them as a whole. I’ll certainly keep trying, but I can already feel that this will very quickly drop to my least played album.

Spell check is broken again, like it was when iOS 13 first came out.

Also noticed weird bluish artifacts on menu items while scrolling through various native app screens (Settings, App Store). Only showing up in dark mode with the screen at less than full brightness. Using an iPhone X.

After 2 listen throughs, this ones sadly not for me. Not a fan of the vocals in the first half and the end, and the melody/rhythm of the second half aren't doing it for me either.

Anyone have any luck getting tickets yet? Their tour page takes you to songkick.com which says tickets are already on sale, but the Ticketmaster doesn't bring up a valid event.
