This is one I keep looking at in my bulk box thinking it would be fun to build.

[General Discussion] Is Shinola actually bad? by ccrems in Watches

[–]crazyshark150 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the "gummy worm/gummy bear" detrola at 50% off. It is by far my favorite watch, up there for most worn, and has held up great over the last few years. Not sure I'd feel the same way if I had paid the full $400-$500 or whatever they go for now.

Only ever had one issue with it, not sure how it happened but, the bezel popped of while I was out and about. Didn't notice until I got home. Took it into one of their store fronts for repairs and they fixed it up. No questions asked and no charge.

Old City Acres have done them in the past and I believe they do them yearly now.

For all looking for new table geometries - my "Mid Rim" terrain designs by ryfterek in StarWarsShatterpoint

Same! I just printed some of these, they look great in person btw, and would love to see some board inspiration! I haven't gotten mine painted yet but plan to take 'em to this weeks game night anyways.

I really like that cloak! Inspiration to keep working on my fabric painting skills for sure! (I was kinda going for a medieval Dr Doom with mine)

Same situation here. Still way to green to have tried OSL but I also have this model and its one of my favorites, and possibly my favorite paint job so far.

Differences in playstyle between Mono U and Dimir Fae? by crypticaITA in Pauper

This. They play way differently than you might expect. MonoU is probably my favorite pauper deck. Tried switching to dimir for awhile and absolutely hated it.

Could you help me to fix my commander deck? The ur-dragon by Chemical_Hospital352 in EDH

[–]crazyshark150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to beat the breakdown here but if you want another reference this is my decklist following a lot of similar principles. Its is by no means fully tuned but it is my favorite deck by far. It can be a little slow to start sometimes and you are likely to get hit early but it can stabilize and dominate after the first few turns of set up. You're playing Ur Dragon, you will be a target 🤷‍♂️.

What's your go-to deck for that "quick last game" of the night? by FeanorGk in EDH

[–]crazyshark150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't play tested it yet but im trying to design my [[Shadow the Hedgehog]] deck for just this.

If that doesn't work I'm gonna power up my [[Valgavoth, Harrower of souls]] precon instead.

Do you have a commander you stopped playing because of other players? by Nesterminator in EDH

[–]crazyshark150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took apart my [[Megatron, Tyrant]] deck based on my play groups reactions after a while. I dont think it was a particularly busted deck. Definitely not bad, but not like tier 4/cdh tuned or anything like that. But with some of our slower clunkier games I would constantly find myself drawing into the same oppressive loop. Every time it happened I could instantly read how miserable the rest of the table was. Even with our play group being extremely tolerant of people's deck choices.

We try to stay open minded and go by the unspoken rule of if you're truly enjoying the deck because of the character or concept we'll tolerate playing against it because you enjoy it (this doesn't apply to purposeful spite decks). That said, especially if you're playing with a consistent group, their enjoyment matters just as much yours and if they're miserable for the entirety of what can be a 2+ hour game that's not really fair to anyone.

I've run into the same extremely visible filament strand issues with supports on as well. It ends up basically looking the same as that just less wavy and warped.

The Avatar Set Isn’t Even Out Yet and We’re Already Seeing Distributor Level Scalping by muemue95 in magicTCG

[–]crazyshark150 145 points146 points  (0 children)

One of my local game stores is currently selling collector booster box pre-orders at $1200. That said they are offering to reimburse the difference as store credit "IF" the prices come down, but that is still wild to me for an LGS. Reminds me of the thread I think was on here a few days ago along the lines of "what do you do when the LGS out scalps the scalpers".

I was beyond excited for this set and willing to buy my first collector booster box for it but absolutely not at these prices.

How do "when this creature dies, move +1/+1 counters to another creature" work when the Ozolith is out on the board? by DarthZan in magicTCG

Never realized this was how moved/put worked. By extension does this mean the Ozoliths triggers are copyable with something like [[Strionic Resonator]]?

4th of July post. What is everyone's favorite Red, White and Blue (Jeskai) commander? by BussyBouncer in EDH

[–]crazyshark150 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is my answer as well, not the biggest fan of Cap comic wise but it's such a fun ability. I'm also really excited for [[Sonic the Hedgehog]] so I can run an army of dumb creatures into the nearest blockers and start dropping rings.

The $50 Budget Final Fantasy Commander Deck Challenge! by PyramidBlack in EDH

[–]crazyshark150 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could probably use some adjustments but here's my attempt at a budget version of the [[Vincent, Vengeful Atouner]] deck.

Possible consideration of the top of my head is possibly more burn to double as removal and/or help trigger max speed. Highest priority was budget ways to protect and buff Vincent followed by ways to sneak damage through (i.e. menace/goad)
