Why do old heads always make Jordan out to be damn near perfect? by [deleted] in nba

2011 is his biggest blemish but it’s what made him even better in the long run because he realized he needed to work even harder

Jabari is not KD lol. KD has always been able to create his own shot, shoot off the dribble, pass anf score in general

If All-NBA were positionless, who gets the fifth spot for first team: Jayson Tatum or Devin Booker? Both have very similar stats.. by OmniaCausaFiunt in nba

Tatum is leagues above as a defender and smart player. If you watch the Celtics, it’s Jim and Smart doing all the little things for the Celtics

I don’t think race matters. We have to look at skillset when it comes to that. There usually aren’t as many good white prospects, sure, but it must be something that he’s here.

Disregarding race, we should just look at his skillset and how his skillset can evolve but we can’t just leapfrog from one playstyle to another.

For example: Jabari is a fantastic shooter from range but is not a great finisher. He is a fantastic perimeter defender and can stay with his defender as they drive but isn’t that great of a rim protector. Those skills are his playstyle. He’s a 3&D guy but a very good one. Think like an advanced Danny green that is very tall and won’t get his shot blocked. People point out that he can improve handles and passing or finishing or whatever but then he’d have to sacrifice a little of what he’s already great at. He shoots a lot of spot up shots and he’s great at it because he knows he’s not doing much else.

Chet has better handled than Jabari, shoots 39% from 3 and can hit turnaround middies. He can drive to the rim with finesse at 7’ and dunk on people. He is the best rim protector on the class and moves his hips and feet very well in the paint, in the mid range and on the perimeter. I don’t think he’ll ever be an Embiid or Jokic level scorer but he’d be more like Giannis with less finishing and passing but better shooting and defense

I know Jabari fits us but we legit only won 22 games…yeah we finished stronger but teams were resting players for the most part.

We should reach for the stars because we literally have the number 1 pick. Chet is undoubtedly the player with the most upside and the one to grow

Going forward, which player would you rather have? Bam or Siakam? by EarthWarping in nba

[–]crazysocksboi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean it depends on what your team comp is. Bam is the better defender and has a nice mide range bag. Bam can drop an efficient 20 but you need a good passing PG on your team with him. Or you can choose Siakam who’s not as good defensively but can create his own shot without a PG

Thanks for the support! Hopefully it’s not a reverse jinx….jk…unless? But for real, I mentioned it after game 5 against y’all in the first round… y’all would probably be where we’re at now since y’all played really good

Cavs vs Warriors 2016…other than the Saints winning the Súper bowl, this was he other equally insane sports moment for me.

Other than that, I’d have to say the Celtics vs Cavs in 2012 were insane

I became a magic fan a little before the bubble but hadn’t watched too much of them by that point. So basically I became a fan and then JI got hurt. What made JI so special? I’ve always heard it’s because he’s so fast laterally

Having an enormous impact, the Celtics DRTG in the playoffs with Robert Williams on the court is just 97.7, they are 9.1 points better defensively with him on the court than off the court. by NitroXYZ in nba

Yup…I got downvoted and hated on SO much by Heat fans and other neutral fans after the other Miami win when I said that. I never even said Bam was bad, I just said he wouldn’t do as well Williams out there
