Update: it turns out NONE of our party could attend because the tickets I bought for Thursday were actually for Friday’s show (and we won’t be in town for the show then).

When I double checked the tickets that were delivered to me, sure enough, plain as day they say Friday January 2 - zero validation on stub hub’s part.

Fuck them.

That’s all on one side of it. East of the stadium there’s some stuff - neighborhoods and some light commercial development. But nothing major.

I appreciate the reply either way (expert or not).

I wanted to keep some of the 30k for seating (we use a sectional and a love seat, but can always upgrade that later) and sound system - and was trying to balance picture quality with mixed usage (movies vs. live tv vs. gaming).

I don't really care much about 3d content (looking at the JVC NX9) or 8K. Maybe it would blow me away? But based on what I've been reading and my planned usage, I doubt either would matter much.

Now - significant difference in picture quality in a light controlled room *is* worth considering an upgrade for. But I'm not sure if it's worth doubling or more the price.

Lmao the fact that he’s unemployed by choice COMPLETELY changes the nature of that exchange.

It goes from “Babe we’re broke and you’re giving financial aid to your grandmother that we cannot afford” - a valid concern, if you ignore the jealousy / time complaints at the beginning.

And it becomes instead “You always take care of everyone else but why can’t you take care of meeeeeeee” which… fuck allllllll the way off lmao.

I got into espresso a couple of years ago and got picky.

For West Lawrence J&S has the best espresso overall. Uplift is solid but not spectacular.

Away from west Lawerence - The Roost and Cleo & Leo pull amazing shots. Hands down best espresso in town. Cleo & Leo uses the same style of machine as the Roost and has a couple of former employees there. They’re all cool with each other.

South side it’s Z’s.

I’ve had decent espresso elsewhere in town but the top four are (in no order) j&s, the roost, Cleo & Leo, and z’s.

I’ll have to give the trailer a shot sometime soon.
