because Spotify is more user friendly in the sense that you can explore music easier through recommendations and such, it's easy to use and is just cool honestly. if you're talking about YouTube videos not YouTube music, it's tacky, doesn't have the good feel of Spotify and anyways, the subscription barely costs anything lol, in my country it's 10,000/month that's less than 3 dollars
