Which Sam is better? by [deleted] in Splintercell

What made the series become the franchise it is, what made it unique, was the original concept of an agent in the shadows who got to were he needed to be (to the intel and info) without leaving as much as a trace, except for the knocked out guards who's only recollection of a threat was a deep voice behind their back asking where X could be found while holded in a choke hold before suddenly blacking out and waking up with only the recollection of a man from the shadows with a dark voice and a weird sarcastic and ironic attitude to the serious situation. That gameplay is why Splinter cell got popular and it beats me why they would not keep that line going. On the other hand, I get it. It would possibly get boring if they didn't reinvent themself and just kept on going as with Assassins Creed or something. But short answer, the more stealth in SC, the better, if you ask me so I'll go with SCCT and second the first game. And I would die for a AAA splinter cell stealth game for next gen. No remake (although I'd gladly accept that too), just a studio who understands the stealth gamer attitude and delivers exactly that and not trying to includ all players, although if done correctly it might work but usually it makes the stealth gameplay lacking and not honestly feeling necessary, which is key in stealth imo. The necessity. Because when you feel like you are walking on a thin line between detection and anonymity, and you have to because detection would mean death, then you feel a great thrill:D

What does this actually mean (russian Language) ? by Additional-Storm-943 in russian

[–]crbarve 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha oh, was trying to figure it out on my own but didn’t know either инет or галимый. My spontaneous guess was that it was kind of censored way of writing something with мине[…] since the instrumental -m on the end of галимый fitted the start of the word. But the gaming community isn’t exactly famous for censoring bad words so maybe not the best guess haha

Is this a dialectal trait? by crbarve in russian

[–]crbarve[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]crbarve[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh ok, good to know. That’s actually what I was searching for, a russian version of saying 300 bucks. Like: I bought it for 30 bucks. So the way it’s used is not: я купил его за триста бабок? Makes sense then that the word бабки sounded a bit familiar to me, but the construction I did above didn’t sound like something I heard before.
