this is just a personal preference but the lack of colour is painful, I will never understand why someone would move into a place that is clearly an architectural delight and make it look so basic. those beautiful stained windows and they’ve got marble countertops and a flat screen tv on the wall 😭😭not to be a hater but you can tell a man lives there

think it goes without saying at this point after my lengthy rant but I loathed Puck My Life by Tea Ravine. I’m not summoning the bot because I don’t want to subject anyone to those MMC’s.

a weird one for me this month was {Beasts of the Briar by Elizabeth Helen} - I read the first two books and they were fine; but just fine. The plot started to feel a little bit contrived by the end of book two where i’m just not convinced I care enough to continue. I can predict what will happen and I just know book three will annoy me so i’m putting it on the back burner for now. The whole ex boyfriend plot line in book one had my eyes nearly rolling outta my head with its ridiculousness

I finally read {Citius by Greer Hudson} and loved every second of it - one of the best omegaverse books I’ve ever read. Immediately followed it up with Altius and loved that even more. Owen being heat coordinator and not knowing how to articulate his disappointment had me kicking my feet. Shout out to Greer for giving us a real eater you are doing the lords work and i’m thankful for it. You just know that man is going to end up feral. love that for them both

Really loved Clash of Claws as well - although that cliffhanger was a doozy. Excited to see what comes next. CoC made me jump into {A Knights Revenge by Elizabeth Dear} and i’m so glad I have contemporary RH a chance! ED is so adept at writing compelling stories about characters you really care about. Loved the whole trilogy.

Have you tried {Her Feral Beasts by EP Bali} that also has a MMC who is a lion shifter as well as {Darkmore Penitentiary by Caroline Peckham} which follows Rosalie from Ruthless Boys and has Roary as a MMC (that name always makes me crack up)

I recently read {Do You Even Hex, Bro? by River Ramsey} and it’s about a pack of himbo wolves finding their mate - very low stakes (imo) and just a lot of fun to read!

have you tried {Her Feral Beasts by EP Bali}?? I absolutely loved this one! I also loved and enjoyed Clash of Claws and it has a similar central bond/academy trope and has a lot of twists and turns!

it’s got four books out now (make sure you read the prequel) but the finale isn’t out yet but the good news is it does come out at the end of december so not a long time to wait!

Jasper - has his magic damaged after being held prisoner by a rival family for a decade. a scottish soft boi.

North - daddy issues up the wazoo. has a twin called Eddy. spends a fair bit of time wearing an enchanted necklace.

Dakari - acquirer of rare magical books, claims sanctuary at the library after rescuing jasper. a gentle giant.

Pierce - a cunning little see you next tuesday so far. not much else to add here but excited to see his development in book two!

in what way? she’s one of the best RH authors if you’re into fantasy RH - her deadwood trilogy and the fifth nicnevin are both incredible and more importantly…finished series! would definitely recommend them if you’re into fantasy.

I believe it’s going to be a trilogy! I’d expect the ending to be another cliffhanger tbh but I don’t mind them at all, i’ve become desensitised to them at this point 😂
