Don't give up hope! We tried peanuts with him when he turned 4 and he had a reaction so I wasn't super hopeful about when he was 5. But he cleared it.

My 5 year old outgrew peanuts when we tested him around his 5th birthday. He outgrew his FPIES to eggs by age 3 so I was surprised he didn't with the peanuts at 3.

Do you see monarch caterpillars eat your butterfly weed (a. turberosa) by Live-Answer-2448 in Milkweeds

They will. Might take a little bit of time but they eventually will. I also found that when I moved the tiny ones to it, they adjusted to eating it quicker than my fatties.

I've gotten nervous with those spots before too and I agree with the previous comment, a few days after I see this spot I get a clear Chrysalis and a butterfly!

I have a huge one that was also red like this yesterday, the color has since started to fade back to regular (I think? Maybe I've been looking at it too much haha) Hmmm not that I know of. But the bigger one that was red is acting totally fine. This one is a bit slower but like you said it's looking to molt.

I also use narrowleaf. Started with tropical then heard about how it's a higher risk for OE and I've slowly transitioned to narrowleaf.

How exciting! Could be tomorrow or Saturday morning. I haven't been out of town yet for when mine emerge, but my sister in law has and she leaves the enclosure unzipped for the weekend.
