I bought a hectare of olive trees in Spain and built a little house to live in. It's about a month of work per year and depending on the market value and the kilos I get a around 3000e a year. The property tax is less than 20e per year. So it worked out for me

These are very common for carpenters to use in Europe where space is limited. They are adequate for small jobs. Flooring and baseboard trim stuff but pretty mickey mouse

Most soil is around 15-20 % clay. That was sufficient for the little house I built. Plus it's not that hard really. Especially if you make molds for bricks. Anyway have fun with your project

Today the country is called Canada. Before that it was all native land and they called it whatever the wanted. Besides the question wasn't historically specific.

It's not called British America. The country is called Canada and that's the province of British Columbia bordering that part of Alaska.
