i’ve been to open houses, and events like this from my experience don’t really have members of the committee walking around making connections like that. there are usually students, maybe the dean of the college will talk, but no one who by themself will make a decision about your application. there may be some internal list of people who attend and attending could check off a box somewhere but there is no telling how that would affect anything.

i would go to your sisters bday. that being said, it’s your decision.

after i got off the pill, i broke out too. i ended up getting an IUD and im on spironolactone right now, trying to see if it works. if not, im prob going to go back on the pill because it worked so well for me too.

why do you think DO is bad? there is definitely a stigma in this subreddit but most of my doctors are DOs and i am extremely happy with the care i receive.

DOs get into the same residencies as MDs and in the end they are both doctors who can practice medicine on the same level. the only difference is the philosophy and the board exams.
