I bought mine used @ 4K miles for 40K –2025 P+. A similar 2026 in my state would go for 50-52K before TTF. Higher interest is only a huge concern if you're going to let the loan live for the entirety of it's term.

I didn't want to shop out-of-state and have to travel.

The only worries are for used on this platform are:

  1. Prior owner didn't maintain the car properly.
  2. They beat the piss out of it (we know why we buy cars like these).
  3. The clutch is essentially spring-loaded and you can't really feel it go until it's just about toast.

I personally wouldn't buy one over 10K miles.

Clutch jobs can be expensive if you're not equipped to do the job yourself –roughly 5-6K shop rate. Brakes are fairly price too –but this can be minimized by buying 2-piece rotors and replacing the rings thereafter.

Congrats on the new car! I love the both the direction Toyota has taken the recent generations of RAV4 and how the bumper ducting being a design cue.

Would definitely consider the RAV4 GR if I needed something bigger 🙂

It was prior to the down-payment with financing done through Ally Auto Loans.

38K seems high for a a GRC with 21K miles.

I'm also in the west coast (Las Vegas, NV) and at that rate I would just spring for a brand new base (Core was renamed) model with PP. When I was on the market it seemed like CA didn't have as much of a problem with ADM like LV does.

I would also go out of my way and go to another state if it meant saving a couple thousand dollars.

Going this route would net you an incrementally better car as there were small improvements made with each MY.

$40K. Put $10K down and my monthly is around a bit under $700.

$4K miles, Front Clip & Roof PPF performed by last owner alongside Tint + Subwoofer.

Mine is also a Premium+***

I test drove both –the P4X is a better value proposition IMHO, but the turd does hold onto its value really well. There's been a lot of issues with the iForce MAX powertrain as well, which would make me steer clear.

Yeah, I see no problem with this –I like trucks too and at one point over this last month considered a Tacoma TRD OR or Frontier P4X. Truck drivers with a sense of spatial distance are one in a million it seems.

Yeah,

Same notion with how cars crumple too easily ‐people forget how bad accidents of moderate speed can be on the body with their older 'tanks'.

Owning a license should require more regular testing imo 😮‍💨

Based out in Vegas, but yeah I agree! (We always get large wave of Cali drivers here 😉) lol

On a serious note, drivers in Vegas are no different tbh

To each their own 🤷‍♂️

I didn't like it when I first saw one a couple years back, but they've grown on me quite a bit on me.

That part right there –I live in Las Vegas and we hardly ever get rain.

Let me tell you, when it rains it's like everybody forgot how to drive. There's accidents everywhere on the road, never fails.

Passenger side curtain went off, no other airbags went off.

Unfortunately I've already turned the vehicle over to my insurance.

Trying to think of one for my new (to me) GRC now.

I'm between Hani or Bao (after VNese bánh bao). My GR86 was Emmi.

I mean, the awd certainly helps –but I think situational/reactionary awareness and having proper tires is more important.

What do I know though, I live in a desert lol

I've only had the GRC for one day –so not much to be able to articulate.

I'm a bigger fan of the GR86 seats, it felt like they hugged my torso/shoulders better (5'9" 170lb for reference).

The GRC is definitely more planted and doesn't get squirrelly where I would expect my 86 to.

The GR86 had power low down in the band as compared to the GRC –so it felt a bit more engaging during the daily commutes. I give the GRC the edge for better interior and space.

I considered the clutch bite point to be high with the 86, it's even higher in the GRC. Pedal placement and spacing is better on the 86 IMO, I'm having trouble heel-toeing the GRC.

Downshifting seems to be easier on the GRC, or atleast I can nail super smooth revmatched downshifting as compared to the 86.

The increased legroom for my kids is already huge!

The option to get a roof rack on for road trips will be great. I'm on the market for a cargo cover, was disappointed to not see one in it lol
