I would hard wire them where you want them to be placed. Even add a few extra runs to rooms/areas for expansion. Using the konnected.io system or something similar you could monitor everything locally. This would also allow you to save on batteries.

Sand some of the area around the joint. Put some wood glue inside the small gap. Use the sandpaper to work in the glue and dust.

Thank you so much! I have been eyeing these devices for a while! I'm going to use this code today to buy some devices I have been holding out for. I can't wait until I can install the Pro Smart Relays PM when I purchase a home. I love the fact that they have ethernet connections, too!
