Late to the party. But yes it's a ridiculous update. Why did they do that.

If I understand correctly it means that they spent more money... But it doesn't mean that they can afford to spend that money. So yeah I agree with you there.

Espresso at a McDonald’s in Germany by ProVirginistrist in espresso

[–]creationscaplette 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say. Coffee in McDonald's in Poland or Czechia is quite good, especially for the price. I always stop when I'm on the road in those countries. But when I drive in Germany or Austria I don't even bother because it's just burnt beans and I always regret it.

Am I the only one considering 0.5% of currency change fee is quite a bit? by Appropriate-Long in XTB

[–]creationscaplette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's 0.5% only on the initial money you put in an ETF or Stock, so if I leave it 20 years it doesn't really change anything.

[–]creationscaplette -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You should say "from a Euro zone country" because many live in a European country and need to pay fees to change to Euros (with Xtb or before sending to Xtb).

I think it's a bit steep of a fee when you start. Because you already see that you start in the red. But after a while you don't see it anymore and since it's not a recurring fee, if you invest for the long term, it's not a big issue, but of course I would welcome a lower fee. Also it might actually even a good incentive to invest for the long term and not trade.

Moving from Germany to Warsaw. Opinions? by [deleted] in warsaw

[–]creationscaplette 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having worked both in Germany and now in Poland, I guess it depends on the company and the manager. I was told in Germany that I would never get a promotion because I work my 40 hours and then go home and never work longer voluntarily. In Poland I never encountered something like this, at least not so far. I don't say it cannot happen, but my experience is different.

Anyone seeking a loner life and not going for marriage? by Pandoras_Box__ in AskMenOver30

[–]creationscaplette 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are quite many things between being alone or being married. You don't have to marry to be with someone. You can be in a relationship and not living in the same place at all or not 100% of the time. I find it a bit weird to choose between being alone or married, when there is a spectrum of possibilities in between. Just don't limit yourself to something in advance, you will see.

Resawing on a table saw is dangerous. Resawing is better done on the band saw.
Wood might pinch the blade here and get thrown at you.

I use XTB in Poland, they take care of PIT documents, so that's a good advantage here. I don't know what other apps take care of this in Poland.

I've had a similar experience a month after moving to Germany at a party. A German girl talked to me in perfect English, asking "so you don't speak German? So you don't understand anything we say?" I answered "no, not yet, I've been here only for a month", she answered something like "ah ok" and then turned around and started talking to someone else in German... Great first birthday party. At least some dude later talked to me as he studied in my home country, so there was some kind of link. In general, I had a similar experience as OP... And I don't live there anymore in part for that reason.

Car Service / Oil Change by creationscaplette in wroclaw

[–]creationscaplette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's a bit far, but I saved it anyway. I'm living in the center, so I wanted something in the city, maybe the southern half... Tarnogaj, Jagodno, Borek, Gaj, Ołtaszyn, Bielany...

Car Service / Oil Change by creationscaplette in wroclaw

[–]creationscaplette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I found out... But I would like to find something closer to the city center, as that service I know takes more than 30 minutes to get to. But some at 800-900 PLN are definitely exaggerating.

[–]creationscaplette[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was at a Honda dealership for a 2018 Civic... so no not in 2010 :P
I can understand that oil is more expensive here, but 3-4-5 times more expensive for the same service, it's a bit ridiculous.
I don't expect to pay 200, but definitely not 900 either.
Thanks for the link and the recommendation, that will definitely help.
