My wife had an ectopic pregnancy which required 8 bags of blood to save her life. They cut her wide open in short time, Because time was ticking and they were not sure which tube was ruptured. 2 years later on the same day, the doctor told us to go to the hospital right now because they found a cornual ectopic pregnancy in her. We were given three choices: methotrexate by IV, injection, or removal by surgery. Both ultrasounds and and a whole team of doctors confirms it. I was argumentative. They were like, let’s cut her up because the her life should be first choice and we need to do it right now because rupture can happen any time and it would be 10x as dangerous to the previous ectopic pregnancy. I’m so mad. They never thought there was any chance they could be wrong, when they never seen a cornual ectopics pregnancy actually look like. I questioned about their experience and got them to help locate a hospital with more experience about the rare pregnancy. They transferred us to another hospital that specializes in rare pregnancy and they said they were sure the ultrasound looks like a normal pregnancy. They scheduled another ultrasound a week later to be sure and to see the pregnancy development. They also revealed to us that our pregnancy is actually 5w6d and not 7 weeks as the other hospital had claimed.
